Proof that voter ID is needed to keep our elections legitimate and fair.  Our elected leaders should be elected fairly by the people and not by the minority voting in names that are not theirs.

This is how the democratic party stays in power and why they do not listen to the people when they are in power because they know they are guaranteed to win no matter how they perform their duties.  God help this country!

I am not sure how I missed this one, but here is one to add to the growing list of individuals arrested for actual voter fraud- meaning they voted more than once in an given election.

The NAACP is up in arms over the arrests saying the FBI is some how suppressing minority voters by arresting and charging minorities for actually illegally voting.

Prepare for a financial Doomsday

Prepare for a financial Doomsday

Many of us are preparing for the end of times; because as we all know it it is a matter of when not if. While many of us out there are preparing for the complete collapse of the world as we know it not many of us are preparing for a Financial Doomsday which will probably happen sooner than nature going haywire on us. So how exactly do we prepare for a financial Doomsday/ Economic collapse.  Through intensive research I have found way that I think will help anyone survive and Economic/ Financial Doomsday.

Save Money
This one is a bit of a obvious one but I have to put it out there. A shockingly high number of American families are operating without any kind of financial cushion whatsoever.
-According to a Harris Interactive survey taken in 2010, 77 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
-According to one recent survey, one out of every three Americans would not be able to make a mortgage or rent payment next month if they suddenly lost their current job.
This is one reason why so many Americans have lost their homes and why so many Americans have fallen below the poverty level in recent years.  They simply had no cushion.
Last year, 2.6 million more Americans dropped into poverty.  That was the largest increase that we have seen since the U.S. government began keeping statistics on this back in 1959.
Don’t let this happen to you.  At a minimum, everyone out there should have a cushion that will cover at least 6 months worth of expenses.  Preferably, you should have a cushion that will last you at least a year or longer. I know that sounds like a lot but trust me you will love having this around in case something does happen to you and your family.
The easiest way I found to do this is I used to buy a cup of coffee from Quick Trip every morning, it would cost me with tax 2.02 (it was their medium size I think if I remember correctly.). Then one day I really got to thinking how much could I save if I stopped drinking coffee well at least buying it from QT every morning. So I did simple math 2.02×7 is $14.14 a week or $56.56 a month about $678.72 a year! And that was just a cup of coffee I of course cut out eating out, junk food for the most part and I am now saving well over $200 a month and putting all of that into savings. That is just one example of how I did it. I am sure there are many ways out there of saving money I have probably not even thought up of yet and I am talking about small things not drastic. Not to mention the cut of junk food has made me happier and healthier.
Investments
 Now I want to be clear with this. This is not your typical investment that I am about to talk about. But rather one more suited towards the fall of an economy and essentially the dollar. The most obvious investment you can make is to buy gold and silver. I think every person in this country is doing that at this point. While that will hold value and its all and good, you can not eat gold and silver. At one point people will want food rather than gold. So a gold and silver investment while good should not be the only investment.
Once the economy fails and everyone is running around trying to figure out what to do and items and resources become scares, everything will start becoming more localized and we will probably move back to a barter system. With that said it will be good to prepare for a barter type of system just in case it ends of that way and even if it doesn’t it will not harm you in any way. Here is what I think you will need in a barter type of system.
1. Water, The single most important item any one person can have. Drinkable water is important to life. While I would stock up a lot on this you can also invest in rain catching gear, water purifying system and other things to make undrinkable water drinkable.
2. Salt, stock up on this and start now. This one little thing that people take for granted everyday will be essential to your survival and a good thing to have in a barter system. Salt is one of the most important thing a person can have in their stock pile period. It is essential for the human body, it makes food yummy, and it can preserve food as well.
3. Spices, you think they are expensive now wait until the economy fails and governments go bankrupt and so do major companies. This one comity that people take for granted will be super rare and expensive. However, most spices and herbs can be grown almost anywhere with a little bit of knowledge.  A good website I found about some spices you can grow are http://ideas.thenest.com/dinner-recipes/cooking-advice/slideshows/easy-spices-to-grow.aspx?page=5  and http://www.tropicalpermaculture.com/growing-herbs.html these are two very good sites to get you started.
4. Live stock, food is one of those thing you have to have. While you can hunt if you do not have live stock which is a good way to get meat and other foods live stock is more beneficial. It is there when you need it you don’t have to go out and find it hopefully, you can trade it for other animals goods or services, and depending on the animal it will have many uses.
5. Other currency, while it is good to have food water etc it is also a good idea to have some form of other currency available in case you can some how assuming things are not that bad go to another country or that their currency is not completely useless. This is something I would keep around, because I do not like to assume anything like all currency will be useless and you will be trapped in this country. You just never know what life will throw at you and where you might find yourself. Therefore, I think that having some other currency like Euros, Yen, and the Australian dollar to name a few might be useful.
6. Land, I believe that land is one of those things that over time will increase in value even more so than gold. Because scientist have found a way to make artificial gold believe it or not, but they have yet to find a way without lasing our water supply it will grow in value tremendously. Not to mention land is very useful to have because you can grow food on it have life stock and the uses for land are almost limitless. Not to mention if the land has  a natural aquifer.
Like I said not your normal investment portfolio. I could spend so much more time on this but these are the 6 things I think will help you if an economy collapses.
Pay off any debt
Now this one may be a bit tricky to do since many people are having trouble meeting ends meet. But by all means try to pay off any and all debts you may have. I am going to take a guess that banks will want money owed to them if the economy starts failing to keep themselves afloat. Just because the economy fails doesn’t mean our money will be worthless. The great depression is a perfect example of that. Money was not all that worthless still had value just not as much as it does now.  This one again may be hard but I know from personal experience but it has to be done. Many things can happen if the American economy can fail don’t be caught off guard pay off any dept you may have.  I will have a completely separate blog post about this coming up soon. As I have said I was in that boat I have searched for solutions and I have found it through trial and error. I have given the advice to my friends and it worked great for them. So I will dedicate a whole blog post just to that.
Learn a Skill
Learning a skill is good even if the economy is still going strong. But a  carpenter, welder, handyman can be worth their own weight in gold. Knowing how to build and work with your hands will be skills that if the economy goes you can use to barter with. It can be almost any skill just learn one or a trade and master it. I would say master one than have 1000 that you barely know what you are doing.
These are some of things I would recommend. There is so much when it comes to this that I could make this blog post endless, yet I do have to end it at some point. Just remember what can go wrong will go wrong. Do not assume anything prepare for everything. It cant hurt to be ready it can only hurt not to be ready. As we have seen time and time again it is a matter of when not if. If you have any ideas or comments please feel free to post them and let me know how I did or if I missed something important.

Ron Paul Scares the GOP and 4 Reasons He Might Still Get the 2012 Republican Nomination

Why the GOP Is Scared of Ron Paul and 4 Reasons He Might Still Get the 2012 Republican Nomination

Posted: 08/21/2012 3:55 pm
Wait, isn’t Dr. Ron Paul out of the presidential race? Isn’t it all tied up nicely in a bow with the Romney/Ryan ticket?

No.

Why would the GOP be scared of Ron Paul but end up nominating him?

I’ll explain.

Romney and the GOP have demonstrated both poor judgment and poor sportsmanship that might cost them by damaging Romney’s electability among the Ron Paul supporters thus leading to a splitting of votes, which in turn, could cost the GOP the entire election.

Dr. Ron Paul is still in the race for president and is a strong contender for the 2012 GOP nomination.

To be on the GOP ballot Aug. 27, 2012 in Tampa and get a 15-minute speaking slot, a candidate must have won the plurality (majority) of delegates in at least 5 states.

Well, Ron Paul did win the plurality of delegates in 5 states, enough to be eligible for the nomination and a 15-minute speaking slot at the GOP convention. The states he won are Louisiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Maine and Nevada. Then Ron Paul went on to win the plurality in Massachusetts, Romney’s home state and half the delegates in Oregon. Dr. Ron Paul also has around 500 delegateswho support him. The exact number of delegates that Romney and Paul have is still a mystery but should be clarified at the convention.

So… Ron Paul won his 5-plus states, he’s on the ballot and writing his speech, right? Not exactly.

What happened next is what may cost the Republicans and Romney the entire election. Instead of accepting that Ron Paul, the GOP underdog, had won enough delegates in enough states to be allowed his rightful place on the ballot and his 15-minute speaking slot, the GOP and Romney’s people decided to try and take these legitimate wins away from Ron Paul and his supporters. Ron Paul supporters fought hard, played fair and won. Romney supporters didn’t play fair and still lost those 5-plus states. These Ron Paul pluralities were won in spite of shenanigans and tricks tried by Romney supporters and the GOP to prevent or undermine Ron Paul wins. The Ron Paul supporters were well prepared and won the needed amount of states anyway.

So, how did Romney and his supporters handle their losses of five measly states to Ron Paul? Honorably? Graciously? With dignity? Maturely?

No. Quite the opposite.

Romney’s people ran to Big Daddy GOP to rescue them from their defeats by trying to disqualify the valid Ron Paul delegates and to take away Ron Paul’s right to speak and be on the ballot by reducing his states won to fewer than the five needed.

So far, Romney and the GOP have contested the Ron Paul wins in LouisianaMaineMassachusettsand Oregon. They threw out the Massachusetts Ron Paul delegates after the GOP tried to force the delegates to sign a long legal document that required them to vote for Romney. This was not something that had ever been done before. The GOP allowed Romney, big lawyers and big bullying to invalidate Ron Paul’s solid win in Massachusetts.

As in the other states, the Ron Paul delegates in Maine played by the rules and won. Even Governor LePage of Maine, a Republican, is appalled with GOP efforts to throw out the duly-elected Ron Paul delegates.

The entire plot to reduce Ron Paul wins to under five states to take his name off the ballot and take away his 15-minute speaking slot is well under way. If Romney/Ryan are so great, why can’t they handle a little competition without whining and crying like sore losers?

Are they afraid of losing the 2012 nomination to Ron Paul if he speaks and is on the ballot?

Why not play fair and let the best man win?

Who cheats? The lazy, bratty, insecure and less-qualified people who can’t win honestly and fairly. Is that really presidential material?

I wonder if Romney and the GOP are worried that if Ron Paul speaks and gets the nomination, that Ron Paul will fire all of them. Is the GOP that terrified of change, even if it is for the betterment of the country?

Here is why I think that Ron Paul might still walk away with the nomination.

4. Lots of regular “little people”, like me, want Ron Paul to be the 2012 GOP presidential candidate. We, the little people, do not like being trod upon and when we join together, we are stronger than big money. Remember, “We the People”? Ron Paul’s donors areregular working people, many military men and women, not banks.

3. Ron Paul is the David to Romney’s Goliath Machine but the spirit, character and faith of we “little people” count more in America than just money. Romney has raised$152 million to Paul’s $39 million. Ron Paul has more passionate support from his supporters due to Ron Paul’s character and dedication to serving America and Americans based on our founding principles embodied in our Constitution. Money, media manipulation and bullying can’t buy this type of support. But, Romney and his lawyers couldn’t let Ron Paul keep 5-plus wins?

2. Ron Paul wants to serve his country, and has served in the military, and would end the wars. Ron Paul’s supporters and Americans want someone they can trust and believe in. Dr. Paul is that man.

1. Mitt Romney is much less qualified to be president than Ron Paul, who understands the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Watch this link where Romney is asked a basic Constitutional question and replies, “I’ll have to ask my lawyers”. Ron Paul tells Mitt Romney, “Read the Constitution.” Ron Paul is the only Republican Presidential candidate who is qualified, experienced and credible.

We, little people, similar to Ron Paul and his supporters, work hard, play fair and expect the same from others.

If Romney and his supporters had been gracious losers about Ron Paul’s 5-plus state wins and Ron Paul’s 15-minute speech, Romney had a chance to garner both the GOP 2012 nomination plus the support and votes of Ron Paul and his supporters. (I say “a chance” because many Ron Paul supporters do not see Romney as a fiscal conservative.)

Not anymore. It is hard to vote for someone who has acted so dishonorably, even for the sake of party loyalty.

The misguided Machiavellian advice Romney got and took to “win at all costs,” may cost him dearly in November due to the bad will generated with Ron Paul supporters. Too many people have lost too much respect for Romney to vote for him. To the contrary, even though Ron Paul’s campaign was repeatedly slighted and undermined by Romney and his supporters, Ron Paul stayed gracious and denounced mistreatment of Romney. He has told his delegates to “Make yourself heard but be respectful.”

By playing dirty and being greedy, Romney supporters may have lost Romney both the nomination and the election.

Romney and the national GOP are showing their ugly colors by attempting to take away Ron Paul state delegate wins that were earned fair and square.

In speaking with some Ron Paul supporters, here is their current plan. If Ron Paul doesn’t win the 2012 GOP nomination, many Ron Paul supporters will elect to vote for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian presidential candidate. Why wouldn’t Ron Paul supporters write in Ron Paul on ballots around the country? For those write-in votes to count, a write-in candidate must be listed in every state and some Ron Paul supporters do not know if their Ron Paul votes would count.

And, due to the shabby treatment Ron Paul and his supporters have received from the GOP and Romney’s people, many Ron Paul supporters may refuse to vote for Romney in 2012, even if it means Obama being re-elected for four more years. One supporter told me, “I want the GOP to see how many votes they lost by playing dirty. They will only be able to count all the lost votes if I vote for Gary Johnson.”

If you want to learn more about Gary Johnson click here. He stands for small government, government staying out of your business, liberty and fiscal responsibility. He is like Ron Paul without the Roe v Wade concern. Gary Johnson has had virtually no media coverage so you may not have heard of him.

As I heard in grammar school and it remains true: “Cheat, Cheat Never Beat”.

Ron Paul is the only qualified person for the 2012 Republican Nomination who can unify conservative Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and stabilize the economy. If the GOP is smart and humble enough to do a mea culpa and nominate Ron Paul, Republicans stand a better chance of winning in November. If Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination, many Ron Paul supporters will likely be voting for Gary Johnson. All Romney and the GOP had to do was play fair and win honorably, but I guess that was too much to ask.

But here is the GOP’s conflict: If the GOP nominates Ron Paul and he wins, many of the GOP cronies will be shown the door. There will be a big house cleaning of corrupt politicians, like turning on the lights and the cockroaches scatter. On the other hand, if they don’t nominate Ron Paul, they risk losing all the Ron Paul supporters, which would likely split the vote and lose the 2012 election entirely.

It is hard to make those type of decisions when choosing what is best for the country doesn’t figure in at all, but choosing what is best for their own selfish principles of self-preservation, greed and thirst for power rule the day.

Romney and the GOP need to leave Ron Paul’s five-plus states alone, place him on the ballot and allow Ron Paul to speak.

Could the discovery of a Huge Underground Pyramid in Alaska’s mysterious Bermuda Triangle region be the cause of thousands of missing people?   On May 22 1992 Chinese Set Off Their Biggest Nuclear Explosion weapons testing program.  A huge underground pyramid was identified during the ,Chinese underground test it was much larger than the Great Pyramid at Giza. On Coast to Coast, ex Military intel analyst Douglas A. Mutschler contacted  Linda Moulton Howe who was a guest on Coast to Coast as a investigative journalist.

     Douglas A. Mutschler gives proof of who he was and tells there is a Ancient Pyramid in Alaska bigger than the biggest one in Egypt.   Located between Nome and Mt. McKinley.  The Alaskan underground pyramid is HOT and HUMMING, an active underground base, run by who or for what reason?  These are Questions that we are asking and want answers to!

alaska bermuda triangle map

     There are huge number of disappearances in Alaska, We are trying to figure out why, people are being abducted and not returned.  Because so many go missing in Alaska, part of the wilderness has been called the Bermuda Triangle.  Thousands of people go missing each year but is there really a mystery here?  The triangle exists in the state between the city of Juneau and Yakutat in the Southeast; the Barrow mountain ranges in the north and the city of Anchorage right in the centre of Alaska. Indians native to the state – the Tlingit – are sure about the truth of Alaska’s Bermuda Triangle.

According to their folk-lore there exists a man, known as Kushtaka who can shape-shift to an otter and has the ability to lure innocent people and trap them. This theory surrounded by the amount of missing persons list that the state puts up is enough to confirm and verify the truth about Alaska’s Bermuda Triangle.  The region’s statistical data of 2,883 missing persons is adequate proof about the insolvability of Alaska’s Bermuda Triangle. The state ranks 50th among the nation’s population count.

“What the geologists said they found in this byline news
story (Anchorage TV Channel 13) story was under Alaska,
they found a pyramid bigger than the one in Egypt.”

Hello
My name is Douglas A. Mutschler CW2, USA (ret) and during my service tour in Alaska I was informed of a pyramid under the land in Alaska. There is other information concerning this that came to my attention after it was reported to us in 1992. I have tried to pass this info to others but have not heard any response to my information. I assure you I am telling you the truth about this and I think that this is being kept quiet by our government as the news was buried the very next day after it was brought to my attention. If you can help me get this info out to you please call me so I can talk to you about this. My phone number ——-. The whole story is pretty interesting and this can be verified with your contacts I’m assured of that, as I do not have them and came up with zero from the news people there. I’ll tell you the whole story if you are interested. I’ve only contacted a couple of people but have not heard back from any of them. I’m wondering if my emails are getting through to them or is this an old story that has no interest to news reporters?
Thank you for your time in this matter.

Why Do We Need Local Money?

Why Do We Need Local Money?.

From ROB HOPKINS
Transition Network UK

[Foreword to the book ‘Local Money‘]

The power of holding your community’s own money.

September 2009, Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton. On a beautiful evening with just the first hint of autumn in the air, hundreds of people are packed into the large room for the launch of the Brixton Pound. In the days running up to the launch, the media was full of stories about the currency; it even made the front page of the BBC website on the day. Alongside explanations of how it is intended to work and interviews with advocates were mainstream economists who, somewhat patronisingly, assured readers that this could never really work and that it was all tremendously naive and foolish. Clearly that was a sentiment that those gathered in the hall, and the 70 traders already keen to accept the notes, had chosen to overlook – or, more likely, would fervently disagree with. This event was both a celebration of the new currency and, perhaps most importantly, of Brixton itself.

Derrick Anderson, the Chief Executive of the local council, which had partly funded the initiative, told the audience that he would be using Brixton Pounds, that he hoped they would become ‘the currency of choice for Brixton’, and that he was delighted that this was a good news story about the area. When I spoke to him later, I explored with him how deep the commitment of the council to this new currency would actually run. Would it accept the currency in payment of Council Tax? Would it accept rent from stallholders in Brixton Pounds? The answer to both questions was yes: a national first.

At the end of the evening, the notes themselves were unveiled to rapturous applause. Each note featured a prominent Brixtonian, chosen via a community-wide ‘Vote the Note’ poll. They showed Vincent Van Gogh on the £20 note; C. L. R. James, a local historian, political theorist and cricket writer on the £10 note; Gaia theorist James Lovelock on the £5 noteand Olive Morris, Brixton Black Women’s Group founder, on the £1. Morris had died at the age of 27, and some members of her family were present to see this extraordinary memorial to her life and work.

At the end of the evening, people brought the first notes into circulation, and the Brixton Pound was now a reality, ready to take its place in the tills of Brixton. But is this legal? Will it work? And, perhaps most importantly, why would anyone bother?

The emergence of Transition currencies

In 2006, I attended a talk by economist Bernard Lietaer at Schumacher College. He said two things that stuck with me: firstly, that localisation was impossible without having a local currency; secondly, that that local currency had to be designed in such a way that businesses would use it. I was familiar with models such as time banks and Local Exchange Trading Schemes (I had been a member of a few different LETS schemes), but I left Lietaer’s talk thinking that something else was needed. A few days later, I visited a local film company whose offices used to be the Totnes Bank. Lovingly framed and hanging on the wall was an 1810 Totnes banknote – a beautiful handwritten document, which had been legal tender in the town. What would happen, I wondered, if we printed some new ones? If we got a few shops to agree to take them and just ran it for three months and saw where they went? Would we be allowed, or would we suffer dawn raids from the Bank of England and be stuffed into a small and rather unpleasant room in the Tower of Londonreserved exclusively for those who print their own money? The answer to all those questions was a big ‘no idea’, but in the Transition movement that is rarely a reason for inaction. From the moment when 150 people first sat in St John’s Church waving their freshly minted Totnes Pounds, the first for almost 200 years, the idea of communities printing their own money has, as Peter North so lucidly narrates in this book, grown rapidly.

First came Lewes in Sussex, then Stroud, then Brixton, and now several other places have their own schemes on the drawing board. Each currency learns from the previous ones in a wonderful iterative way, and each currency is fiercely of its place. They are all bold, thought-provoking and charming, and they all embody an important principle of not waiting for permission to initiate the process of relocalisation. They couldn’t have come at a more timely moment.

Why do we need local money?

In spite of the Queen’s musing aloud in early 2009 as to why no one had seen the economic meltdown coming, many people had been only too aware that economics, as currently practised, is designed to draw money upwards, does nothing to stop the poor getting poorer and everything to help the rich get richer, and has no loyalty to communities or individuals. A common national unit of exchange – sterling – is, of course, extremely useful, as it enables national trade. Yet its weaknesses are such that it needs a complementary currency running alongside it. Some transactions can be in one; some in another.

The very thing that sterling is designed to do, i.e. enable and stimulate trading between people and businesses, it often fails to do – especially in times of economic contraction. Money often feels like something ‘done to’ communities. The large corporate chains that now dominate the nation’s high streets are like mining operations, extracting the potential wealth of communities and siphoning it away to shareholders and executive bonuses. It is a vicious cycle: people buy from chain stores, less money goes to local businesses, less money circulates locally, local businesses struggle, and we end up with identical high streets up and down the land – what the new economics foundation calls ‘Clone Town Britain’. A local currency is an intervention that can, it is hoped, start to reverse that trend, building trade for local businesses, creating a mindfulness that means people start to choose local shops over chains, and encouraging them to get out and discover the independent traders in their community.

Money and resilience

Central to Transition is the concept of resilience. This is the concept, originally from ecology, that systems – whether businesses, settlements or entire nations – tend to be more or less able to withstand shocks from the outside. Although just-in-time distribution systems allow us to have access to a dazzling array of foodstuffs and other goods (much of which our great-grandparents wouldn’t have even been able to name), we are left with an economy with little inbuilt resilience. The whole system is highly oil-vulnerable. Price volatility, or worse still, actual shortages, are things we are hugely unprepared for and could be devastating.

In the middle of the nineteenth century, when there was no welfare state and some business owners still paid their employees in a far less ethical form of local currency, one that could be spent only in their own stores, the question of ‘plugging the leaks’ in local economies was not hypothetical: it was, for many communities, a matter of survival. The Cooperative movement emerged, inviting people to invest inwards into their communities; to invest in local jobs and local businesses. It was hugely successful, and its legacy is still with us today. As the scale of the UK’s debt, incurred through years of living beyond our means and the 2008 bailing out of the banks, becomes clear, and the scale of the cuts in public spending that they will necessitate also emerges into reality, we find ourselves needing models and approaches to do the same thing again. Communities will find themselves needing each other again, after years of being able to get by without knowing your neighbours and the very idea of community being pilloried.

Where all this might lead

So where might all this end up, if local currency becomes a key element of our daily lives? One could imagine a situation where several of the approaches Peter outlines here sit alongside our ongoing relationship with sterling. A significant proportion of our weekly shop would be done with local businesses, which, in turn, would encourage them to seek out local suppliers, leading to an explosion of local market gardening and other local manufacturing.

Alongside the printed currencies, we may also make use of time banks, and we may be members of a local credit union. For loans, we may talk to the credit union, or we might visit a website such as zopa.com and borrow direct from other people, with no bank in the middle. Any surplus money that we want to invest, we are now able to invest in local shares or bond issues, which raise the capital for our locally owned energy company to begin installing renewables, or for local food-growing initiatives to secure access to land. There may well be all kinds of evolutions that we can only speculate on at this stage, such as local electronic cards or even the idea of currencies that are stored on our mobile phones. Perhaps there will be regional currencies, as can already be found in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. What is key is that as humanity begins its inevitable shift away from energy-intensive, globalised, corporate economics to a more human-scale, localised version, the way we ‘do’ money will need to catch up. This book identifies a number of possible tools, and doubtless there are many more yet to be thought of.

The Cheerful Disclaimer

What Peter has done here is write a book that is a clear and deeply researched practical guide for you to get started, laying out of some of the tools that increased economic localisation will need. He brings to this project many years of insight and observation of local currencies around the world, and I hope that you will find the result both fascinating and thrilling. It is important at this stage to bring in what we call ‘The Cheerful Disclaimer’. If you are reading this book thinking that local currencies, the Transition idea, projects like the Brixton Pound, are all tried-and-tested things that we can guarantee will definitely work, think again. Transition is an iterative process, a collaborative process of learning as we go along, of sharing successes and failures, of people being bold and trying things out, and learning from what has gone before.

At this time in history when things are changing so fast, this kind of innovative thinking and creativity is something that can really come only from communities, who are able to innovate and experiment in highly imaginative ways. Although this book does not come with a guarantee of success, it does come with the firm belief that what we need to do, what has the most chance of enabling a successful Transition, is to harness engaged optimism. What does engaged optimism look like? The currencies discussed in this book are all just one approach; perhaps just initial experiments from which other, better-refined, approaches will emerge. What they do, though, is give a physical form to that sense of engaged optimism: a tangible statement of a community’s intent.

Moving forward

The Transition movement has developed a power and a speed to its vital momentum around the world. As I write, there are well over 200 formal initiatives and thousands more at earlier stages. Will they all produce their own currencies, and indeed do they need to? Probably not. What they will no doubt do, though, is continue to innovate, and it is that spirit of innovation that we hope this book captures. Having attended the launches of the Totnes, Lewes and Brixton Pounds (I was unable to make the Stroud one), I was struck by the fact that they were all characterised by being incredibly energetic and dynamic occasions. You get a sense at these events of a latent power that governments can’t tap, but which rather can be ‘unleashed’ only by those communities themselves.

This book was preceded by Local Food, which set out an array of things that Transition Initiatives can do to start building resilience around food, seeing this as an opportunity to rethink many basic assumptions in a very creative way. It sought to give Transition food groups the best possible start and save them reinventing too many wheels. This book does much the same, capturing from across the Transition network, as well as from the many projects that preceded and which run in parallel to it, best practice as it is currently understood in relation to alternative currencies.

You don’t need to wait for anyone’s permission to initiate local money. Its potential as a tool for relocalisation is something we are only just starting to grasp. One of the key things for a successful local currency scheme is trust. People use sterling because they know it and they trust it. Without trust, money is meaningless. However, the process of building trust in the currency is also one of building trust in local traders, and of local people learning to trust one another again.

Ultimately, the best thing about these schemes is simply that they are more fun; they feel better. Shopping with 40 Brixton, Totnes, Lewes or Stroud Pounds, you still return home with £40 worth of shopping, but what you leave behind you is a far more virtuous cycle of money cycling around locally, supporting local businesses, local traders and so on. Local currencies are, in effect, ‘mindful money’. Our daily actions can make a huge difference, and local currencies can become a very powerful, and far-reaching, fact of everyday life. This book celebrates those who have taken the first steps to create them.

Higgs boson a fundamental building block of our universe FOUND!

It’s a big day for particle physics! Scientists at CERN believe they have found a fundamental building block of our universe: the elusive Higgs boson.

You may know it by another name. It’s also called the “God particle.”

Today’s announcement is just a preliminary result, though scientists say it is “very strong.”

But what exactly is the Higgs boson… And why do we care about it?

Scientists believe it is the particle that gives all matter its mass. Finding it would fill a huge hole in the Standard Model of physics. That theory explains how our universe works.

All About Orbs The Good The Bad The Ugly!

A1 Absolute All About Orbs Face

First of all let me start by saying Id really like to see a real scientific study done on Orbs.  I am one of those rare people who can see Orbs with the Naked eye!  Yes that means that I can see Orbs when other people can not see anything at all!   When I see Orbs they are not always moving fast like a flash of light passing back and forth from one end of the room to another or at angles from up to down!  They also can move any different direction.  I have seen more than one at a time.   I do not always see orbs 24/7 and I do not go out of my way to find Orbs I am not a Ghost hunter, but maybe I should be!  I have captured orbs on Camera phones.  Often times If a picture is taken of me Orbs show up in the photo’s.

A1 Absolute All About Orbs Face
A1 Absolute All About Orbs Face

When I worked in the medical field as a nurses aid I would see Orbs often times in hospitals and in nursing homes!  The Orbs I see can be just about anyplace and at any time!  I did notice that I can see Orbs the best in certain kinds of light better than other!  Most of the time I can see Orbs inside of buildings and in dark places.  I also have seen Orbs in rooms with ceiling lights that shine strait down to the floor, I do not know why but that seems to be the best light for them to be seen by me!

I have no Idea what Orbs are if they are ghost, Aliens or even intelligent life but I do know they are real because I can capture what I see on camera or on video!   The term orb describes unexpected, typically circular artifacts that occur in flash photography — sometimes with trails indicating motion — especially common with modern compact and ultra-compact digital cameras.  Orbs are also sometimes called backscatter, orb backscatter, or near-camera reflection.  Its my opinion that this is a bad definition of Orbs because my eyes do not make a flash or reflection at all.

I have met other people who also can see  or have seen Orbs with the Naked eye!  We are not crazy people we just see Orbs!  If I was Crazy could you see Orbs on a photo or on video?  I think its just one of those things that people are afraid of because it can not be explained away as your Crazy and that’s it!  Look my eyes are 20/10 and 20/15 so maybe my vision is just better than the average guys and I can see more with my eyes than most! Its kinda like Dogs have great hearing and can hear more than most people can!   This is the only thing that makes sense to me, its logical! And no its not Flash blindness, dust in my eyes or a Retina Burn, Im not looking into bright lights like the Sun or a Camera is not flashing in my eyes!   Call me crazy I don’t care who the hell are you anyways God is my Judge!

One of the leading theories concerning what orbs are and the one that I lean towards the most is that they are not the spirit at all.   The orb is the energy being transferred from a source (i.e. powerlines, heat energy, batteries, people, etc) to the spirit so they can manifest.   This may not even be a conscious thing the spirit is doing, just a natural way they get their energy.  This would explain why the orbs are round balls.  According to the laws of Physics energy being transferring like that would assume is natural shape of a sphere.   This theory can also be tied into the EMF readings we get during spirit activity.  But I could be wrong they could be alive or some kind of intelligent being.

The term orb describes unexpected, typically circular artifacts that occur in flash photography — sometimes with trails indicating motion — especially common with modern compact and ultra-compact digital cameras.

[edit]Cause

Orb artifacts are captured during low-light instances where the camera’s flash is used, such as at night or underwater – or where a bright light source is near the camera.

The artifacts are especially common with compact or ultra-compact cameras, where the short distance between the lens and the built-in flash decreases the angle of light reflectionto the lens, directly illuminating the aspect of the particles facing the lens and increasing the camera’s ability to capture the light reflected off normally sub-visible particles.[1]

The orb artifact can result from retroreflection of light off solid particles (e.g., dust, pollen), liquid particles (water droplets, especially rain) or other foreign material within the camera lens.[1]

The image artifacts usually appear as either white or semi-transparent circles, though may also occur with whole or partial color spectrums, purple fringing or other chromatic aberration. With rain droplets, an image may capture light passing through the droplet creating a small rainbow effect.

In underwater conditions, particles such as sand or small sea life close to the lens, invisible to the diver, reflect light from the flash causing the orb artifact in the image. A strobe flash, which distances the flash from the lens, eliminates the artifacts.

Below are two diagrams of a hypothetical underwater instance. In Diagram A, the faces of particles directly aligned with the camera’s lens are illuminated by the flash, and thus the camera will more likely record orbs. In Diagram B, the faces of particles illuminated by the flash do not face the lens and therefore remain un-recorded. [2]

A hypothetical underwater instance with two conditions in which orbs are (A) likely or (B) unlikely, depending on whether the aspect of particles facing the lens are directly illuminated by the flash, as shown. Elements not shown to scale.

Consistent with the Jesus Toast phenomenon, Orb backscatter has been broadly interpreted as a highly variable range of supernatural paranormal phenomenon without verifiability — including invisible spirits, unexpected lights, auras, angels, ghosts, energy fields, psycho-energetic artifacts, energy balls, etc.[3][4][5][6][7]

will-o’-the-wisp /ˌwɪl ə ðə ˈwɪsp/ or ignis fatuus (play /ˌɪɡnɨs ˈfæəs/Medieval Latin: “foolish fire”) is a ghostly light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travellers from the safe paths. A folk belief well attested in English folklore and in much of European folklore, the phenomenon is known by a variety of names, including jack-o’-lanternhinkypunkhobby lantern in English.[1]

Scientifically, “marsh gas” is methane that bubbles out of marshes; this gas is contaminated with phosphine (PH3) and diphosphane(P2H4) which, when brought in contact with air, can spontaneously catch fire. This sudden burst of flame can potentially explain many will-o’-the-wisp sightings.

[edit]Terminology

The term “will-o’-the-wisp” comes from “wisp”, a bundle of sticks or paper sometimes used as a torch, and the name “Will“: thus, “Will-of-the-torch”. The term jack-o’-lantern “Jack of [the] lantern” has a similar meaning. Its application to carved pumpkins in American English is an innovation of the 19th century.

In the United States, they are often called “spook-lights”, “ghost-lights”, or “orbs”[2] by folklorists and paranormal enthusiasts.[3][4]

Folk belief attributes the phenomenon to fairies or elemental spirits, explicitly in the term “hobby lanterns” found in the 19th century Denham Tracts. Briggs’ A Dictionary of Fairiesprovides an extensive list of other names for the same phenomenon, though the place where they are observed (graveyard, bogs, etc.) influences the naming considerably. When observed on graveyards, they are known as “ghost candles”, also a term from the Denham Tracts.

The names will-o’-the-wisp and jack-o’-lantern are explained in aitiological folk-tales, recorded in many variant forms in IrelandScotlandEnglandWalesAppalachia, andNewfoundland.[citation needed] In these tales, protagonists named either Will or Jack are doomed to haunt the marshes with a light for some misdeed.

One version, from Shropshire, recounted by K. M. Briggs in her book A Dictionary of Fairies, refers to Will the Smith. Will is a wicked blacksmith who is given a second chance bySaint Peter at the gates to Heaven, but leads such a bad life that he ends up being doomed to wander the Earth. The Devil provides him with a single burning coal with which to warm himself, which he then used to lure foolish travellers into the marshes.

An Irish version of the tale has a ne’er-do-well named Drunk Jack or Stingy Jack who makes a deal with the Devil, offering up his soul in exchange for payment of his pub tab. When the Devil comes to collect his due, Jack tricks him by making him climb a tree and then carving a cross underneath, preventing him from climbing down. In exchange for removing the cross, the Devil forgives Jack’s debt. However, because no one as bad as Jack would ever be allowed into Heaven, Jack is forced upon his death to travel to Hell and ask for a place there. The Devil denies him entrance in revenge, but, as a boon, grants Jack an ember from the fires of Hell to light his way through the twilight world to which lost souls are forever condemned. Jack places it in a carved turnip to serve as a lantern.[5] Another version of the tale, “Willy the Whisp”, is related in Irish Folktales by Henry Glassie. The first modern novel in the Irish language, Séadna by Peadar Ua Laoghaire, is a version of the tale.

In European folklore, these lights are held to be either mischievous spirits of the dead, or other supernatural beings or spirits such as fairies, attempting to lead travellers astray.

A modern Americanized adaptation of this travellers’ association frequently places swaying ghost-lights along roadsides and railroad tracks. Here a swaying movement of the lights is alleged to be that of 19th- and early 20th-century railway workers supposedly killed on the job.

Sometimes the lights are believed to be the spirits of unbaptized or stillborn children, flitting between heaven and hell. Modern occultist elaborations bracket them with thesalamander, a type of spirit wholly independent from humans (unlike ghosts, which are presumed to have been humans at some point in the past).

[edit]Scandinavia

DanesFinnsSwedesEstonians, and Latvians amongst some other groups believed that a will-o’-the-wisp marked the location of a treasure deep in ground or water, which could be taken only when the fire was there. Sometimes magical tricks, and even dead man’s hand, were required as well, to uncover the treasure. In Finland and other northern countries it was believed that early autumn was the best time to search for will-o’-the-wisps and treasures below them. It was believed that when someone hid treasure, in the ground, he made the treasure available only at the midsummer, and set will-o’-the-wisp to mark the exact place and time so that he could come to take the treasure back. Finns also believed that the creature guarding the treasure, aarni, used fire (aarnivalkea) to clean precious metals.

The will-o’-the-wisp can be found in numerous folk tales around the United Kingdom, and is often a malicious character in the stories. In Welsh folklore, it is said that the light is “fairy fire” held in the hand of a púca, or pwca, a small goblin-like fairy that mischievously leads lone travelers off the beaten path at night. As the traveler follows the púca through the marsh or bog, the fire is extinguished, leaving the man lost. The púca is said to be one of the Tylwyth Teg, or fairy family. In Wales the light predicts a funeral that will take place soon in the locality. Wirt Sikes in his book British Goblins mentions the following Welsh tale about púca.

A peasant traveling home at dusk spots a bright light traveling along ahead of him. Looking closer, he sees that the light is a lantern held by a “dusky little figure”, which he follows for several miles. All of a sudden he finds himself standing on the edge of a vast chasm with a roaring torrent of water rushing below him. At that precise moment the lantern-carrier leaps across the gap, lifts the light high over its head, lets out a malicious laugh and blows out the light, leaving the poor peasant a long way from home, standing in pitch darkness at the edge of a precipice. This is a fairly common cautionary tale concerning the phenomenon; however, the ignis fatuus was not always considered dangerous. There are some tales told about the will-o’-the-wisp being guardians of treasure, much like the Irish leprechaun leading those brave enough to follow them to sure riches. Other stories tell of travelers getting lost in the woodland and coming upon a will-o’-the-wisp, and depending on how they treated the will-o’-the-wisp, the spirit would either get them lost further in the woods or guide them out.

Also related, the Pixy-light from Devon and Cornwall is most often associated with the Pixie who often has “pixie-led” travelers away from the safe and reliable route, and into the bogs with glowing lights.

“Like Poltergeist they can generate uncanny sounds. They were less serious than their German Weisse Frauen kin, frequently blowing out candles on unsuspecting courting couples or producing obscene kissing sounds, which were always misinterpreted by parents.”[6] Pixy-Light was also associated with “lambent light”[7] which the “Old Norse” might have seen guarding their tombs.

In Cornish folklore, Pixy-Light also has associations with the Colt Pixy. “A colt pixie is a pixie that has taken the shape of a horse and enjoys playing tricks such as neighing at the other horses to lead them astray”.[8][9] It may well be said that the wild colt pixy would sometimes bedevil regular horses on a ride and cause them to lead their human masters into a predicament or hazard, and might have yielded the pixy – horse name variation.

In Guernsey, the light is known as the faeu boulanger (rolling fire), and is believed to be a lost soul. On being confronted with the spectre, tradition prescribes two remedies. The first is to turn one’s cap or coat inside out. This has the effect of stopping the faeu boulanger in its tracks. The other solution is to stick a knife into the ground, blade up. The faeu, in an attempt to kill itself, will attack the blade.[10]

Aleya (or marsh ghost-light) is the name given to an unexplained strange light phenomena occurring over the marshes as observed by the Bengali people, specially the fishermen of Bengal. This marsh light is attributed to some kind of unexplained marsh gas apparitions that confuse fishermen, make them lose their bearings and may even lead to drowning if one decided to follow it moving over the marshes. Local communities in the region believe that these strange hovering marsh-lights are in fact Ghost-lights representing the ghosts of fisherman who died fishing, some times they confuse the fishermen and some times they help them avoid future dangers.[11][12]

Chir batti (ghost-light), also spelled chhir batti or cheer batti, is a yet unexplained strange dancing light phenomena occurring on dark nights reported from the Banni grasslands, its seasonal marshy wetlands[13] and the adjoining desert of the marshy salt flats of the Rann of Kutch[14] near Indo-Pakistani border in Kutch districtGujarat State, India. Local villagers have been seeing these sometimes hovering, sometimes flying balls of lights since time immemorial, and call it Chir Batti in their KutchhiSindhi language, with Chir meaning ghost and Batti meaning light.[13]

One Asian theologist ponders the relation of will-o’-the-wisp to that of the foxfire produced by kitsune, an interesting way of combining mythology of the West with that of the East.[15]

Similar phenomena are described in Japanese folklore, including Hitodama (literally “Human Soul” as a ball of energy), Hi no Tama (Ball of Flame), Aburagae, Koemonbi, Ushionibi, etc. All these phenomena are described as balls of flame or light, at times associated with graveyards, but occurring across Japan as a whole in a wide variety of situations and locations. These phenomena are described inShigeru Mizuki‘s 1985 book Graphic World of Japanese Phantoms (妖怪伝 in Japanese).[16]

Boi-tatá (Portuguese pronunciation: [bojtaˈta]) is the Brazilian equivalent of the will-o’-the-wisp.[17] Regionally it is called BoitatáBaitatáBatatáBitatáBatatãoBiatatáM’boiguaçu,Mboitatá and Mbaê-Tata. The name comes from the Old Tupi language and means “fiery serpent” (mboî tatá). It has great fiery eyes, leave it almost blind by day, but by night, it can see everything. According to legendBoi-tatá was a big serpent which survived a great deluge. A “boiguaçu” (a cave anaconda) left its cave after the deluge and, in the dark, went through the fields preying on the animals and corpses, eating exclusively its favorite morsel, the eyes. The collected light from the eaten eyes gave “Boitatá” its fiery gaze. Not really a dragon but a giant snake (in the native language, “boa” or “mboi” or “mboa”).

The expression “fogo-fátuo” is also used (“fake fire”, from the Latin “ignis fatuus”) throughout Brazil.

In Argentina the will-o’-the-wisp phenomenon is known as Luz Mala (evil light) or Fuego Fatuo and is one of the most important myths in Argentine and Uruguayan Folklore. This phenomenon is quite feared and is mostly seen on Argentine rural areas. It consists of an extremely shiny ball of light floating a few inches from the ground. Traditionally is said that“If the light is white, it implies a soul in pain and is recommended to say a prayer, but if the light is red, the witness must flee immediately, thus the phenomenon represents the temptation of Satan..”[citation needed]

Min Min Light is the name given to an unusual light formation that has been reported numerous times in eastern Australia.[18][19] The lights have been reported from as far south asBrewarrina in western New South Wales, to as far north as Boulia in northern Queensland. The majority of sightings are reported to have occurred in Channel Country.[18]

Stories about the lights can be found in aboriginal myth pre-dating western settlement of the region and have since become part of wider Australian folklore.[18] Indigenous Australians hold that the number of sightings has increased alongside the increasing ingression of Europeans into the region.[18] According to folklore, the lights sometime follow or approached people and have disappeared when fired upon, only to reappear later on.[18][19]

[edit]Scientific explanation

An artist’s rendering of a will-o’-the-wisp

The oxidation of phosphine and methane, produced by organic decay, can cause photon emissions. Since phosphine spontaneously ignites on contact with the oxygen in air, only small quantities of it would be needed to ignite the much more abundant methane to create ephemeral fires. Chemists have replicated the lights by adding some chemicals to gases from rotting compounds. They argue that the combustion can be sustained at lower temperatures than those found in traditional fires.[citation needed] Taken together, these findings seem to explain two of the more puzzling aspects of the will-o’-the-wisp — its spontaneous, transient nature and its low-temperature “flame” that doesn’t seem to burn close-by ignitable items.[20]

Writing in the Journal of American Folklore in 1891, J.G. Owens contested the marsh-gas hypothesis:

This is a name that is sometimes applied to a phenomenon perhaps more frequently called Jack-o’-the-Lantern, or Will-o’-the-Wisp. It seems to be a ball of fire, varying in size from that of a candle-flame to that of a man’s head. It is generally observed in damp, marshy places, moving to and fro; but it has been known to stand perfectly still and send off scintillations. As you approach it, it will move on, keeping just beyond your reach; if you retire, it will follow you. That these fireballs do occur, and that they will repeat your motion, seems to be established, but no satisfactory explanation has yet been offered that I have heard. Those who are less superstitious say that it is the ignition of the gases rising from the marsh. But how a light produced from burning gas could have the form described and move as described, advancing as you advance, receding as you recede, and at other times remaining stationary, without having any visible connection with the earth, is not clear to me.[21]

In 1993, professors Derr and Persinger proposed that the lights are piezoelectrically generated under a tectonic strain. The strains that move faults would also heat up the rocks, vaporizing the water in them. Rock or soil containing something piezoelectric, like quartzsilicon or arsenic, may also produce electricity, channeled up to the surface through the soil via a column of vaporized water, there somehow appearing as earth lights. This would explain why the lights appear electrical, erratic, or even intelligent in their behavior.[22][23]

Others explanations link will-o’-the-wisps to bioluminescencee.g.honey fungusBarn owls also have white plumage that may reflect enough light from sources such as the moon to appear as a will-o’-the-wisp; hence the possibility of the lights moving, reacting to other lights, etc.[24]

[edit]In literature

In literature, Will o’ the wisp sometimes has a metaphorical meaning, describing a hope or goal that leads one on but is impossible to reach, or something one finds sinister and confounding.[25]

In Book IX of John Milton‘s Paradise Lost, Satan is compared to a “will-o-the-wisp” in tempting of Eve to partake of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil:

[…] He, leading, swiftly rolled
In tangles, and made intricate seem straight,
To mischief swift. Hope elevates, and joy
Brightens his crest; as when a wandering fire,
Compact of unctuous vapour, which the night
Condenses, and the cold environs round,
Kindled through agitation to a flame,
Which oft, they say, some evil Spirit attends,
Hovering and blazing with delusive light,
Misleads the amazed night-wanderer from his way
To bogs and mires, and oft through pond or pool;There swallowed up and lost, from succour far.
—9.631-642

Samuel Taylor Coleridge‘s poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner describes the Will o’ the wisp.[26]

Two Will-o-the-wisps appear in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe‘s fairy tale The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily (1795). They are described as lights which consume gold, and are capable of shaking gold pieces again from themselves.[27]

It is seen in Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre when Jane Eyre is unsure if it is a candle or a Will-o-the-wisp.

“Mother Carey” wrote a popular 19th century poem titled “Will-O’-The-Wisp”.

The Will o’ the wisp makes an appearance in the first chapter of Bram Stoker‘s Dracula, as the Count, masquerading as his own coach driver, takes Jonathan Harker to his castle in the night. The following night, when Harker asks Dracula about the lights, the Count makes reference to a common folk belief about the phenomenon by saying that they mark where treasure is buried.[28]

In J. R. R. Tolkien‘s work The Lord of the Rings, will o’ the wisps are present in the Dead Marshes outside of Mordor. When Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee make their way through the bogs the spindly creature Gollum tells them “not to follow the lights” meaning the will o’ the wisps. He tells them that if they do, they will keep the dead company and have little candles of their own. Also, Gandalf guides the Fellowship through the darkness of Moria (A Journey in the Dark) and his “wizard’s light” is compared to a will-o’-the-wisp. Given that Moria was an ancient source of mithril, this might be a nod to Scandinavian associations of the will-o’-the-wisp with treasure.

The hinkypunk, the name for a Will o’ the wisp in South West England has achieved fame as a magical beast in JK Rowling‘s Harry Potter series. In the books, a hinkypunk is a one-legged, frail-looking creature that appears to be made of smoke. It is said to carry a lantern and mislead travelers.

The children’s fantasy series “The Spiderwick Chronicles“, by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, includes will o’the wisps; they are listed in “Arthur Spiderwick’s Guide to the Fantastical World Around You.” In the series, Will O’ The Wisps are described as fat fireflies that lead travellers astray.

The German fantasy novel by Michael Ende The Neverending Story (German: Die unendliche Geschichte 1979 and Ralph Manheim’s English translation 1983) begins in Fantastica, when a will-o’-the-wisp goes to ask the Childlike Empress for help against the Nothing, which is spreading over the land. The film based on the book does not contain the Will -o’-the-wisp.

In Italo Calvino‘s novella, The Cloven Viscount, the narrator describes assisting Dr. Trelawney, a doctor-cum-amateur-scientist, in his hunt for will-o’-the-wisps in cemeteries. Calvino implies a connection between the number of fresh corpses in a graveyard and the frequency of will-o’-the-wisps.

[edit]In music

In classical music, one of Franz Liszt‘s most challenging piano studies (the Transcendental Etude No.5), known for its flighty and mysterious quality, bears the title “Feux Follets” (the French term for Will-o’-the-wisp). The phenomenon also appears in “Canción del fuego fatuo” (‘Song of the will-o’-the-wisp’) in Manuel de Falla‘s ballet El amor brujo,[29] later covered by Miles Davis as “Will-O’-The-Wisp” on Sketches Of Spain. The German name of the phenomenon, Irrlicht, has been the name of a song by the classical composer Franz Schubert in his song cycle Winterreise. Additionally, the first solo album of electronic musician Klaus Schulze is named Irrlicht.

Several bands have written songs about or referring to will-o’-the-wisps, such as Magnolia electric Co.,[30] VerdunkelnLeon Russell and Yes. The will-o’-the-wisp is also referred to during the song “Maria” in The Sound of Music.[31]

The will o’ the wisp also appears in the song “skylark” sung by Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Maxine Sullivan and others

Part 3, Scene 12 of Berlioz’ “The Damnation of Faust” is entitled “Menuet des follets” – “Minuet of the Wills-o’-the-Wisp”.

[edit]Visual media

Will-o’-the-wisp phenomena have appeared in numerous computer games (such as Everquest and the Elder Scrolls series) and tabletop games (including Dungeons and Dragonsand Magic: the Gathering), frequently with reference to folklore of the phenomena misleading or harming travellers. The Final Fantasy series also pays tribute to the tradition of a will-o’-the-wisp being a lantern-carrying individual, with the Tonberry creature.

In television, Willo the Wisp appeared as a short cartoon series on BBC TV in the 1980s, voiced by Kenneth Williams.

Will-o’-the-wisps also make an appearance in the Disney/Pixar film Brave.

What the timeline is for the shit to start hitting the fan in 2012

By: Nicholas Petty

Hey Daniel
A friend of mine wrote me tonight and asked if I had any idea of what the timeline was for the shit to start hitting the fan. The following is an excerpt from my reply. I will post it to my blog and maybe yours as well, but let me know if you feel it good enough to do so before I actually do that…..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well it is hard to know exactly what their timeline is, but from what I have gathered this year is supposed to be big in a lot of ways. Agenda 21 is supposed to go into effect by the end of the year, SUPPOSED TO, but you never know what might change. I think this is why they are meeting in Rio this year, to work out the final details & etc (if everyone agrees on things and is ready on their part).
2012, a year for events I guess. They say the war with Iran will begin this year, there is a lot being said about another False Flag Event this year too, another 9/11 in other words. The Illuminati works by numbers and both the number 9 & 11 are very important to them. On 9/11/1990 George H.W. Bush announced the New World Order; on 9/11/2001 we had the Twin Towers False Flag Event, now we await 9/11/2012 … each of these exactly 11 years apart.
The number 11 is a sacred number to them as it is based on a Solar Year. 1 Solar Year = 11 of our years, and runs from Solar Maximum to Solar Maximum. the present Solar Year has seen some of the biggest solar flares recorded, and maximum is still 3 months off more or less (today until Sept 11th). The timing always coincides with solar max. But, it is always possible for other calculations to come into play and effect dates and times. They use numerology Adam.
There is a lot of concern about this year Olympic Games, this concerns possible Terrorism or so they would have us believe. Of course it is all planned and carried out by their operatives; this is why it will be a False Flag Event. The fingers will point to whomever they want it to, and most likely this will be Iran.
The second scenario is their False Alien Invasion, which is possible as well. I know they will do it, I’m just not sure when. They will use this to unite the world against a common enemy, and to remove any of our remaining Rights. Well actually both this and or the event during the Olympics.
If for some reason nothing occurs during the Olympics, something will take place before the years end, and everyone seems to be in agreement on this. 2013 also will have a lot taking place as well. They are really pushing for things to happen lately, and I think that they are tired of waiting to achieve their goals. Their greed extends to time itself now in my opinion.
But then, just as they are manipulating us, they themselves are being manipulated. They have been allowed to believe that they have the power, that they are as gods, in control and in charge of it all. BUT THEY ARE WRONG…………..
When you worship Lucifer as G-D, and gain knowledge and power through Fallen Angels, you are not getting it for free, there is always a price. Now they have done this for a LONG LONG time, and have not had to pay up yet, unless you consider your own manipulation to be the payment. These people, the Illuminati and their kind, are SO intelligent, SO smart, and in all of that they are stupid. They have been caught in the very webs of illusion that they spin.
Greed, the lust for things, is a potent trap, and one into which they have fallen. No man truly possesses power, for power possesses him. A man may think he has power, and may have it for awhile, but eventually it slips through his fingers; for it was never his in the first place. People such as this are ALLOWED to believe they have power, but that is an illusion, and their greed and ego will not allow them to see this.
Power is a possession of spiritual beings, G-D, and the Angels both true and fallen. We do not need to worry about G-D and His Angels playing us as fools, but we do need to worry about those which are fallen. And THEY (the Illuminati & etc.) who would rule this world are only pawns being played by those Angels which are fallen.
And this my friend is why they have been in a hurry lately, They are being manipulated to bring about a chain of events which will result in the appearance of the False Messiah. This has been the goal of the Fallen Angels for a VERY LONG time. And the ” hurry ” is because as it is written ” His time draws short, and his end is near ” So full speed ahead to the destruction of G-D’s greatest creation, mankind !!! If he can’t win, then he is going to take as many of us down with him as he can. Lucifer hates mankind with a passion!!!
Well there you have it….. It can stand on its own, or any one part can be expanded on. Let me know what you think.
Later my friend
Man Made Apathetic Ignorant Zombie Cats don’t Judge Me!
It’s looking like more and more everyday like we are living in the end of days!  From the Bullying of a 68 year old, Greece NY School Bus Monitor , Fluoride in the tap water, GMO Cancer causing foods, Micro chipping of whole countries to the Agnda 21 Global depopulation plan!  The Bible says that God destroyed the Earth the first time because the people where Evil all the time!  “And God saw, that the wickednes of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually..”  Genesis 6:5  Are we as a world on the verge of total depravity, is there any hope for man kind will we be given a reprieve like the city of Nineveh that was given a second chance or shale we suffer like the City’s of Sodom and Gomorrah to be burned by fire?
 You see I live in Rochester NY the place that the Bullying of a 68 year old, Greece NY School Bus Monitor took place and it seems like no big deal to people like its just another story in the News!  This is asham I am ashamed of New York State and its state of affairs! Looks like Brave New Schools (Satan’s public school system) is working overtime!   “Danno, like the saying goes”Don’t Judge Me Until You Have Walked In My Shoes”. There ya go, blog about how judgemental people are! You know my situation! Don’t even get me started on that one!” Jenny Conley  If some one would teach these children not to be so judgmental then this kinda thing would not be happening!  Just get them disciplined!
People have forgotten how to care they are afraid of the government or  they think that someone is going to call the Cops if they step out of line and say that those rotten ass kids should get all their asses beaten by a big wooden spoon or the belt.  DCFS Monsters! (CPS are as ruthless as Al Capone’s gang!) I got a whopped when I was a kid  and so did lots of other kids!  I’m not talking about child abuse I’m talking about a good old fashion wood shed moment!  “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol.”Proverbs 23:13-14   It look like these kid were left alone by the government parents  “The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.” Proverbs 29:15 “Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.” Proverbs 13:24
We need to go back to our roots back to the good old days!  Back to when if you screwed up you would have the fear of God in your heart knowing you were going to feel the pain on your ASS as dad or mom laid a hand on you bare ASS!
“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear. Deuteronomy 21:18-21
I’m not saying that we as a society should kill the rebelling child but that we as a community are responsible for the actions of each other.  Yes I believe we are are Brothers Keeper! If we are to be the keepers of our brother then it is our duty to see that these children are disciplined!  “For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” Romans 13:4
Hebrews 12:6-7 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
You see their is The Attack Against the Family by bad people in positions of power high up in the government elected by “tax paying cattle”  Mario Colunio “Cattle that are abused” Casper Jim  “The family is going to have to be destroyed for the New World Order to completely develop.” DEVILUTION: Evolution, Communism, and the NWO!  this is how Modern Psychology Subverts Education and Harms Children! “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” —Romans 1:22
William Benton, Assistant U.S. Secretary of State at UNESCO 1946:
(UNESCO is the United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organization)
“As long as a child breathes the poisoned air of nationalism, education in world-mindedness can produce only precarious results. As we have pointed out, it is frequently the family that infects the child with extreme nationalism.
The schools therefore use the means described earlier to combat family attitudes that favor jingoism (nationalism)…we shall presently recognize in nationalism the major obstacle to development of world mindedness.
We are at the beginning of a long process of breaking down the walls of national sovereignty. UNESCO must be the pioneer.” (Emphasis mine throughout)
In case you didn’t know, the 10th plank of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto called for a “public school system.” its all in the book Deliberately Dumbing Us Down! (download book for free) Get Your Kid Out Of Public School! most Public Schools Not Good Enough for Teacher’s Kids so why is it good enough for your kids? ‘Parents’ No Longer Recognized By Schools Say Goodbye to Your Children America! (the UN wants your kids!) State Brainwashing Children To “Re-Educate” Their Parents For Green Dictatorship Eco Spy Kids (Kids are being trained at public schools to spy on their parents and report you!) Teach Your Child Well! (It is the parent’s responsibility to teach their children, NOT the school nor the government!)
“The thing that made America refined and cultured and decent and honorable was the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And if we leave that, it doesn’t matter how many degrees we have, how many colleges, how many universities. Listen! If you leave the salt out, you can’t have salt, you can’t savor. So we have left out that which has savored, and now we find ourselves a heathen nation.
Look! We are just as lawless today as they were in Wyatt Earp’s day. Isn’t that true? Listen, twenty years ago when we heard of what was going on in South America and Europe, with the demonstrations and riots and folk being shot in the streets and a person’s life endangered when he got outside his own house, we thought of pagan, heathen countries doing that. And we were right. Nations are pagan and heathen when they do that. Now the honest truth is, we face tonight a moral breakdown and deterioration, and we face paganism and anarchy. Why? Because we have followed the time-tested pattern of deterioration. Enough of that.”  by Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001)
People all around me seem to be in a Zombie like state of mind “the docility of the tap water drinkers. ;)”   Mario Colunio  Can you say Fluoride! “Oh yeah, fluoridated everything it seems anymore. The city of Wichita, Ks. is trying to sell it to the public as the best available option to cleanse their water supply, the totally ignorant people will go for it I am sure …. and when it comes to the bottled water everyone just seems to need so badly, no one knows how high an amount of fluoride or anything else is being added to it, as bottled water is totally unregulated !!” Nicholas Petty  Its as though people are willfully ignorant and do not care to know the truth”The apathy of the ignorant :)” Nicholas Petty
The good news it that (NaturalNews) The year 2011 just might go down in history as the year that initiated the end of artificial water fluoridation. Nearly three million people living in 37 different North America communities will no longer be forcibly medicated with synthetic fluoride chemicals via their public water supplies, thanks to a groundswell of dedicated citizens and city council members that fought popular myths about fluoride with scientific truth — and won! Hundreds of brave dentists speak out against water fluoridation  from around the world, many of whom formerly supported water fluoridation, are now boldly.  ofwater fluoridation, when so many cities and towns across the US removed it!
We have all seen Science Fiction movies about mad scientist trying to control the world!  Well there have been annual international science meetings on the brain chip – the first one being held at Loyola University, Louisiana, in 2001. Scientists attending these meetings have said that the brain chip is ready, and that it is now just a matter of conditioning the public to accept them. They said that one way in which this would be achieved – not could be, would be – is by having them programmed in and promoted in movies, books and children’s TV shows . We have had movies like The Final Cut, Total Recall, and The Manchurian Candidate featuring brain chips. And in 2006 we saw James Bond being chipped in Casino Royale, although not with a brain chip – yet!
There are many other movies featuring microchip implants, to varying degrees e.g. Demolition Man, A Beautiful Mind, and other movies featuring brain chips e.g. Johnny Mnemonic, South Park The Movie. There have also been movies incorporating technology which interacts with the brain to create an alternate reality e.g. eXistenZ, The Lawnmower Man and The Matrix trilogy.
Are people being tricked into being like the  man made Zombie Cats?  There is an agenda to have the population implanted with microchips, and ultimately, with brain chips that control your every thought and action! Most people don’t even realise that they are actually witnessing a long-term agenda unfolding in their own lifetime.   Mind control through Trauma and microwave frequencies is a reality today  Here is proof they could see through a Cats eyes long ago.  Their brain functions can be remotely monitored by supercomputers and with the help of satellites, (or even without the microchip, according to the latest technology Again Mind control by U.S. Government “Hey Daniel, it may be a it late for this, but here goes anyway ………….
Trans-humanism, it fits in well with Zombie Cats 🙂 Little did people know that the movie ” The Island of Dr. Moreau ” is actually true (Plum Island) !!!!”Nicholas Petty  Yes is true friends United Nations Envisions Transhumanist Future Where Man is Obsolete sounds Crazy but these people are crazy!
Again the Bible predicts this vary thing our world and society is faced with, its the vary decision to sell your soul to the Satan?
This section Copied from: www.heavenquestions.com
The Food and Drug Administration gave its approval for an implantable microchip to be used for medical purposes.  This paves the way for the prophecies in the Bible’s Book of Revelation which foretold about a coming mark that would be put into everyone’s right hand or forehead.  The book of Revelation was written by John the Prophet about 2000 years ago and now the technology has come out in the last few years to make this happen.
This will be the One World Leaders Mark, also called the AntiChrist Mark, or the Mark of the Beast, and all those who receive it will be doomed to hell, with no turning back, once you have received his Mark!  If you do not receive his mark, you will not be allowed to buy or sell anything!  Then, the World Ruler will begin to put people to death for not receiving his mark, perhaps because you will be labeled a radical or a terrorist!  The Bible warns us that those of our own households will turn against us.  The Bible also talks about a deceiving spirit that will cause unbelievers to harden their hearts against anyone who tries to warn them against receiving the Mark in their right hand or their forehead.
Then Micah offers some good advice for those left behind.  Or those still alive during this time!
Micah 7:5-7: Do not trust in a friend; do not put your confidence in a guide (leader). Guard the doors of your mouth from her that lies in your bosom. For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
More than 30 countries, from Italy to Malaysia, have already introduced “smart” ID cards such as this one. Foreign visitors who now visit the United States are expected to have this kind of card to be able to enter the country.  Bible says that God destroyed the Earth the first time
It was reported in the January 9, 2007 issue of “The Canadian” in an article by Lucien Desjardins that doctors in the United States and Europe are secretly moving to have the microchip implanted in newborns. It was revealed by a Dr. Kilde that then Prime Minister Olof Palme of Sweden had already given permission back in 1973 to implant prisoners, and Data Inspection’s ex-Director General Jan Freese revealed that nursing-home patients were implanted in the mid-1980s.
One bad thing about having a microchip implanted in oneself is that fact that you could then be followed anywhere in the world. According to Dr. Kilde, “Today’s microchips operate by means of low-frequency radio waves that target them. With the help of satellites, the implanted person can be tracked anywhere on the globe.” According to Dr. Kilde, brain functions can also be remotely monitored by supercomputers and even altered through the changing of frequencies.
Last but not least the USA Terminator drones because they love you so much they need to protect you from the bad man! Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin,  Yea that about says it all!  In Genesis, God clearly told Adam and Eve, and then Noah and his family to go forth and multiply to fill the earth. Nowhere in the Bible does God rescind that clearly spoken commandment.  The Drones are all part of the Agenda 21 depopulation plan for the best solutions information you must find:  Doyel Shamley http://www.hourofthetime.com/wordpresstest/?p=5848
Agenda 21… The ‘Planned’ Depopulation Project… It’s Happening at Stealth Speed… Right Before Your Eyes!
 AN EXAMPLE OF THE ENIGMATIC MURALS LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE MAIN TERMINAL AT THE DENVER NEW WORLD AIRPORT. THIS ONE LOCATED BY A BAGGAGE CLAIM PORTRAYS A FUTURISTIC MILITARISTIC FIGURE WEARING A GAS MASK AND OPPRESSING AN ENDLESS LINE OF DISTRAUGHT PEOPLE. CHEMICAL WARFARE, MARTIAL LAW, INNUMERABLE DEAD CHILDREN…WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THIS PICTURE? WHY DOES THE TERM TERMINAL TAKE ON SUCH A SPOOKY CONNOTATION AT THE DENVER AIRPORT???
Yes, I know all this sounds like a plot from a science fiction novel.  But it is actually real.  178 nations have signed on to Agenda 21.  “Eco-prophets” such as Al Gore travel all over the world teaching us how wonderful “sustainable development” will be.  This agenda is being pushed in our schools, at our universities, on our televisions and in our movies.
So exactly what is Agenda 21?  The following is how the United Nations defines Agenda 21….
Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.
When you start doing deep research into Agenda 21, you will find that describing it as a “comprehensive plan” is an understatement.  Virtually all forms of human activity impact the environment.  The rabid “environmentalists” behind the green agenda intend to take all human activity and put it into a box called “sustainable development”.
One of the key elements of “sustainable development” is population control.  The United Nations (along with radical “environmental” leaders such as Al Gore) actually believes that there are far too many people on earth.
So what is the solution?
Sadly, they actually believe that we need to start reducing the population.
Educate yourself Say NO to AGENDA 21! It’s coming to a town near you!
“Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy- fixated groups and individuals in our society… This segment of our society who fear ‘one-world government’ and a UN invasion of the United Statesthrough which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined ‘the conspiracy’ by undertaking LA21. So we call our process something else, such as Sustainable development, comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth.” J.
