My resent Scary trip to the ER under Obama Care in Rochester NY was an eye opener.

Let just say I had a health scare this past weekend and wound up checking myself into the Emergency room at

Strong Memorial Hospital – Rochester, NY  after pain started when I had a hard sneeze.  I finished the night at my Walmart security Job and then went on to my 2nd job working at the Rochester City School district as a school sentry.  I made it through lunch but I was in to much pain to finish the day that’s when I decided to go see the school nurse and see what she thought.  She said that if I was her she would go to the ER thats after she asked me if I was feeling nauseous, up to that point I was in to much pain to think.  That until she asked me that  question right then it hit me that I was nauseous and that was scary I thought I was having appendix pain after talking to the school nurse and as a safety precaution I decided to go to the ER.

The Next 12 hrs were a real eye opener to me and should be to you as well.  So when I first checked myself into the ER it was around 1:30 in the afternoon and they took my info, blood pressure an vitals then told me to wait and that someone would be with me soon and about a 1/2 hr later I was called in to another waiting room inside the ER’s Rapid response hall, were I waited for about 30 minuets till they brought me into the initial examination room that had a table that I sat on and waited for the nurse to take my Vitals again but this time they also took blood as well.  After talking to the nurse and residency medical doctor I was asked if I wanted pain medication I made a mistake and said I think I can wait till I talk to the doctor.  I must have been put on the not so urgent to see list because I sat in that room for about 3 hrs before my dad showed up and stared to make things happen by asking questions of why its taking so long to see a doctor.

After my dad showed up I was put outside of the Rapid response hallway to wait for a room with other ER patience that took about another 2 hrs sitting in a hallway to wait for a room.  Finally they called my name a thought of relief  came over me.  They took me to a examination room with 6 other people two people per examination area.  I thought that this was just another waiting room because it did not have hospital beds just  hard plastic chairs for patients to sit in to wait to be examined by the doctors.

As we were waiting to see my doctor the girl that was sitting next to me on her hard plastic chair had her ER doctor came in and proceed to do an examination on this young woman who had to be in her teen to early 20 somethings with out asking us to leave the area.  I was still in pain but I decided out of respect for this young woman that I would give her privacy as that’s what Id want for myself or my child.  I couldn’t believe that the doctors were going to examine this stranger in front of myself and my dad.  All I can say is “Am I in the twilight zone” is this really happening in America. Yes it is an you can thank Obama Care.

exam

This photo above is what you would expect to be placed in when you have a trip to the ER before Obama Care.

Obama Cares plasic chair in the exam room

This is what you can expect to see in your initial Examination, other people in the ER room with you and a plastic chair.  You can  for get your rights to privacy and comfort if you voted for Obama.

I have to be thankful that my dad was with me because he spoke up on my behalf and when the doctors came in to examine me for the first time my dad said to the doctors this is ridiculous to be examined in front of other patience s that we didn’t know.  He asked about my rights to privacy and about the HIPPA Laws.  As soon as my dad asked about the Laws then the doctors quickly left the room and  sent in my nurse again, she said that they would get me a room with an examination table and that the residency medical doctor had miss diagnosed me and sent me to the wrong room.

I have to say that this trip to the ER was much different than the 13 other times that I had gone to the ER years ago when I would dislocate my shoulder but that was before this new generation of obamacare.  To me it seems that we have taken a step back and have manifested into a 3rd world class of medical care.  Years ago you would go to the ER and get first class service yes you would wait just like anyone else but you would get a room asap you wouldn’t get stuck sitting in hard plastic chairs for 6 plus hours sick and in pain.  Just to get an examination in front of complete strangers, my dad was correct that is ridiculous and unacceptable.   We as the American people should demand better and stop voting for the Communist Socialist Party’s like the Democrats and Republicans that keep moving us closer to a Communist Governmental System or you to can expect to lose your rights and privacy like they tried with me in that examination room.

I have to say all the people at the hospital working were kind and professional to the highest degree expect when it came to the initial examination that they tried to do in front of other strangers.   I know how hard these people work because I spent ten years in the Medical field myself  and understand the great pressure they are under to preform at such high standards.  The problems that I see are coming from the State and the insurance company’s that cover medical treatments.  I’m just thankful that my visit to the ER turned out to be just a infection and inflammation that can be treated with antibiotics.  So after about 12 hrs I was released to go home and given the weekend off of work and I spent that time recovering and with my baby Girl Ella.

Labor Ready and the Tescor Survey is a Joke! I will never use that Company again!

As you can see in this blog that many people have taken the Tescor Survey for Labor Ready and have failed the personality test, and have been turned away from working a job!  The Tescor Survey is a behavioral psychological assessment and integreity test designed to be a pre-employment tool for many types of businesses.  I also went to Labor Ready looking for work, whereas I was told to take a Tescor Survey before employment could be offered. I took the survey, which asked about theft, drug use, anger issues, RACE, etc. When I finished, I was told I wasn’t qualified for employment!

I am a very honest person, and answered accordingly, of which I should have had no problems. I am a NY State Licensed Security Guard that has had to pass drug tests and background checks so there should have been nothing negative on my part. One of the Questions that raised a red flag to me was. Have you ever had to physically had to defend your self? These are all yes or no questions.  I was honest and said yes!

When I was around 25 years old I was in the small City of Batavia on a pay phone talking with my dad when I was jumped by a gang of teenagers who hit me from behind with a glass bottle to my head.  I got away from them and ran to the nearest store to call the cops for help!  Labor Ready is suppose to be the leading multinational source of dependable labor for companies in a variety of industries.

I have Used Labor Ready in the past to hire guys for work but after the way I was treated I will no longer do business with a company that treats good hard working Americans that way, when I really needed a job and Labor Ready was a Last resort ditch effort to pay the bills and feed my family and I was turned away because of a silly survey shame on you Labor Ready I hope that this Blog takes a bite out of your bad business Practices!  You should really change your way of hiring!  When I walk in and see drunks and thugs getting a job before me something is not good with your company!

I went to Labor Ready looking for work, whereas I was told to take a Tescor Survey before employment could be offered. I took the survey, which asked about theft, drug use, anger issues, RACE, etc. When I finished, I was told I wasn’t qualified for employment! I am a very honest person, and answered accordingly, of which I should have had no problems. Nothing negative on my part. When I asked Julie why I was disqualified, she informed me that she didn’t have that info, and that I should contact Tescor. I looked them up on the computer when I got home, called them, and was informed that Julie at Labor Ready lied to me about having this info! The representitive from Tescor (Merchants Information Solutions) told me that Labor Ready “would” have that info, and to contact them back. When I called Labor Ready back, I got the same response from Julie! She said she didn’t have that info. Obviously, someone is lying, and I have a legal right to know why I was disqualified based on my answers!!!

I have worked for L.R. of and on for over ten years so when they started using tescor I was already in the system I failed this test at another agency thier survey asked “If you saw someone steeling on the job would you report it” “If you saw someone doing drugs on the job would you report it” truthfully, I would mind my own business but that answer is wrong.wrong answers to questions like these caused me to fail the survey . And isnt it more like a test. I never heard of failing a survey. These test are unfair and just used to eliminate people so that agencies dont have to spend money giving an interview . I could go on and onabout how bad labor ready is. I came in one morning from a night job and they asked to work another job because they were short of people they took us in the L.R. van I decided to take a nap when I awoke we where crossing a picket line. News cameras, politicans, protesters everywhere. later that night they went to LR to slash tiers and cut brakelines on the van.

This just happened to my brother-in-law. As my sister told it… He was in the office with three Hispanics, all of whom received applications without taking this “survey”. My brother-in-law completed the survey and without any discussion was told he didn’t qualify. This is outrageous, as he has done everything from hands-on construction to running crews or full projects. He may have been “over-qualified” for what they had, but he would have taken any work. He has been unemployed for 2 years and the family needs him to work just as much as an “unskilled” laborer.

i had the same problem ii took the survey and was told i didn’t qualify and was told by the that she didn’t know why the shit is ridicolus i went out to get a hard copy of my resume by the time i came back i was told that guess i gotta be on crank or fighting everyone to get a job i mean 1 question was what did i think my skill level was in a hand to hand fight what the hell does that got to do with getting a job i guess if i had said yeah im going to come to work late show up drunk and high robbed the employer blind and punch the boss in the face i’d be employed go figure its a bunch of bullshit!

I just went to L.R. and was given the same bullshit. I am a very good worker and need a job but for some reason all they want is to hire drunk ass, stoned out of the mind, immigrant prize fighters. This in my opinion is offensive and prejudiced and I think that this test needs to be stopped or L.R. needs to be shut down and investigated or they need to be boycotted until they stop that stupid test.Everyone that has been affected by this and told that L.R. does not know why they were disqualified needs to get together on a class action lawsuit to at least make it so that they have to inform people why they were disqualified to work there when at least half of the questions should have no bearing on qualification for employment. Why do they need to know your skill level in fighting or how many times you have had to defend yourself physically unless they are gonna give you a job as a mma fighter or put you in an underground cock fight. It is one of the biggest loads of bullshit that I have ever been privy to witness.

My 19 year old son who is very smart and has been looking for a job went to the LR and took this stupid test. First of all we have never been on welfare, got food stamps, or done drugs, and to ask all these to someone who is trying to get an honest job is absurd. He was given questions unrelated to a career and more ludicrous topics then told he failed, but no reason could be given as to why he failed. Told come back in a year and take it again. Why should he have to wait a year, even the DMV gives you a 24 hr retake. These people are jokes, unfair and this test is unfair. When someone is already down on their luck, depressed over being unemployed and then you throw them questions of “how would you handle hand to hand combat” blah blah blah, , , I pray everyday for my son to get a job and succeed and I know he will! I also know it wont break him/us from trying and this TESCOR SURVEY is for clowns! What do they do for people with A.D.D. Dyslexia, Asbergers Synrome, according to the HEPA Federal Laws this type of Labor Temp Service is violating several terms. So I advise anyone else that ends up going to the Labor Ready Service and takes their 73 question to test to make some noise if they also say you failed for no reason.

Today my boyfriend came in and said that he didnt quailfied for labor ready because of a survey. first i could of sworn that a survey was YOUR opinion right? well in this case its not. he was asked the question if someone in the work place tried to fight you would you fight them back? he answered rarely. he failed that SURVEY because he answer that question wrong i guess. what is this? it sounds like a scheme right? something needs to be done about this because people are getting jhiped out of what is rightfully theirs… what i would say is say no to everything no use your common sense… even though you wouldnt let anybody beat you up in the work place and what does fighting have to do with it anyway… what they should be asking is what kind of experience do you have or where do you see yourself in the next five years… they know that they are wrong and god dont like ugly so better believe ya’ll they will get what they are looking for… just keep your heads up and stay focused because when on door close’s another door opens… and most of the time when you get a job from them they are shiity and try to do you wron g in the end. example my mothers boyfriend went through labor ready for a job before they had the “SURVEY” and the job he works at now hes been working at for years and he became the top seller in his job but they rufuse to give him a raise… they wont promote him and barely give him hours, so he’s like what is the point working for them… dont worry the problem will be solved you know why because its them thats making a bad name for themselves… so like i said. keep cool and stay focused. it will come for all of you.. might not be when you want it but it will happen JUST HAVE FAITH… and if you know anybody that needs a job warn them aboiut labor ready so they dont have to go through the same thing…

Is Reverse Osmosis Treated Low Mineral Water Healthy and Safe to Drink?

Reverse Osmosis Water Filter Guide – Truth, Lies, Minerals & Your Health

Is Reverse Osmosis Treated Low Mineral Water Healthy and Safe to Drink?

Reverse osmosis water filters remove 90-99% of all contaminants from water, including inorganic minerals. In water filter comparison tests, reverse osmosis systems always beat standard carbon filters in the removal of harmful contaminants in both tap and well water. However, some critics say that this water is unnatural and is not good for human consumption. Is ultra clean water that is free of inorganic minerals good for human health? Keep reading this knol to find out.

Reverse Osmosis is a revolutionary water treatment technology that was first developed in the late 1950’s as a method of desalinating sea water. Also known as hyperfiltration, reverse osmosis is the process by which water molecules are forced through a 0.0001 micron semi-permeable membrane through the use of water pressure. This membrane allows only microscopic water molecules to pass through, filtering out almost everything else including 90-99% of all contaminants in the water.

Today this technology has earned its rightful status as the most convenient and thorough method to produce contaminant free clean water. It is used by many water and soda bottling plants and by many industries that require ultra-refined water in manufacturing. Reverse osmosis has also made its way into the residential sector and has become a popular under-the-counter water filtration system for many families. However there are some competitors in the water filtration market that argue against the use of reverse osmosis for drinking water and have spread many outrageous rumors against it online in the hopes of discrediting the technology. This knol will cover some of the issues and claims brought up against reverse osmosis technology by those critics.

Myth #1 – Reverse osmosis purified water is unhealthy to drink.
Truth: Reverse osmosis water is very clean and healthy to drink.
Reverse osmosis (RO) has been called unnatural water because of its purity. Detractors claim it is man-made and unhealthy and should only be used for industrial applications and not for human consumption. They say that RO water is too pure and clean to be good because such perfectly clean mineral-free water does not exist naturally on earth. However this type of water does exist, it’s called RAIN.
Rainwater is water that has been stripped of all minerals and is often one of the purest and cleanest water on earth. People have been drinking rainwater for thousands of years without any negative health effects. Only recently has rainwater been polluted by the industrial age and man’s pollution of the skies. In the absence of heavy natural or man-made air pollution, rainwater can be very pure and safe to drink. While rain water may absorb and pick-up some substances as it falls through the atmosphere, minerals are not one of them. Thus people have been drinking mineral-free water for thousands of years, which is very normal when you consider that nothing is more natural than mother nature’s life giving rain.

With the scientific research that has been done over the past 60 years on reverse osmosis water, none has ever documented any negative health effects from people drinking RO water. In fact, RO technology has also been extensively tested in the past by the US military and is approved for and highly used throughout the military as drinking water by the men and women in our armed forces.

Myth #2 – Reverse osmosis filters remove healthy minerals from water.
Truth: Reverse osmosis filters remove inorganic, unhealthy minerals from water.
RO systems do remove minerals from tap water. However, we humans get the vast majority of our minerals from the foods we eat, not from drinking water. For example, 1 glass of orange juice has the same amount of minerals as 30 gallons of tap water. You would also get more minerals from 1 vitamin tablet than you will from drinking a month’s supply of tap water.
Tap water contains only inorganic minerals which cannot be properly absorbed by our bodies. Human beings need organic minerals which are only available from living organisms like plants and vegetables and are easily absorbed by our systems. According to the WQA & WHO (Water Quality Association – World Health Organization) we get the vast majority of our minerals from food not from drinking water. The inorganic minerals found in water has little to no benefits to people and in fact can be very bad to our health.

It is estimated that over a 70-year lifespan, a person drinking tap or mineral water will be ingesting about 200 to 300 pounds of rock that their body cannot use.  While most of these microscopic rock minerals will be eliminated from our bodies regularly, some will be stored in our tissues becoming toxic. The primary culprits are calcium salts and over time they can cause gallstoneskidney stonesbone & joint calcificationarthritis, and hardening and blocking our arteries. The presence of other hard metal minerals (some are radioactive!) is suspected to cause other degenerative diseases as well including eye glaucoma, cataracts, hearing loss, emphysema, diabetes, obesity and cancer. These minerals available, especially in “hard” tapwater, are poorly absorbed, or rejected by cellular tissue sites, and, if not evacuated, their presence may cause arterial obstruction, and internal damage.(Dennison 1993, Muehling 1994, Banik 1989)

Reverse osmosis water purification simply delivers the cleanest, purest drinking water on the market. What about distilled water you say? Distillation systems are comparable in contaminant removal, however since many synthetic chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides and chlorine solutions have boiling points lower than water, these chemicals will vaporize and can be carried over into the product water container actually making the collected purified water even more concentrated in those particular chemicals. Distilled water systems also require very high energy costs to operate and are very slow in producing water.
Reverse osmosis is also the only purification system that can remove the majority of dangerousPharmaceuticals & Drugs from our drinking water. According to AP news reports provided by this USA Today article & Fox News report – “Reverse Osmosis removes virtually all pharmaceutical contaminants”.
Reverse osmosis removes many contaminants that countertop and faucet carbon filters cannot including viruses, bacteria, pesticides, arsenic, fluoride, drugs, cryptosporidium, mercury, nitrates, microbes, heavy metals, all radioactive materials, and many more.
The lack of minerals in your water should not keep you up at night. (Just take a vitamin) The increasing amounts of chemicals, drugs and carcinogenic/radioactive minerals potentially found in tap water should!
Myth #3 – Reverse osmosis leaches minerals from the body.
Truth: Reverse osmosis water cannot leach minerals from the human body.
Water is called the universal solvent as it always “wants” to have substances dissolved in it. The purer the water, the more aggressive it becomes in attacking things that can dissolve. This doesn’t hurt the human body, because our physiology quickly obtains homeostasis using saliva, stomach fluids, etc. to equilibrate all bodily fluids.

Reverse Osmosis technology was created in the 1950s and has been scientifically tested in every conceivable way since then. There has never been any documented evidence to prove that reverse osmosis treated water can leach minerals from the human body. The US Navy has used water with less than 3 parts per million total dissolved solids (TDS) for more than 40 years, according to a 1993 Water Quality Association (WQA) report, which also said the Army’s field personnel drinks RO water.

In early July, 2008, the Brighton Standard Blade, a Colorado newspaper contacted the EPA at their readers request to find out if RO water leaches minerals. The EPA spokeswoman said that their organization does not support this idea. The WQA also rejects the idea that RO water can leach minerals in a 1993 report titled,’Consumption of Low TDS Water’. Their extensive research presented evidence that suggests water with low amounts of total dissolved solids (TDS), such as distilled water and reverse osmosis treated water has no ill effects on humans.

Water Technology Magazine also disagrees with this myth giving a list of sources that dispels the false water propaganda.

Reverse osmosis water is very clean, and its purity will actually help improve the absorption of all nutrients including good organic minerals. No more ingesting of bad inorganic minerals (rocks) means the body will no longer be stressed and taxed with trying to absorb something that wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. Drinking water heavy in inorganic minerals is like putting random rocks from your back yard into your chicken soup. Considering the fact that some inorganic minerals are radioactive and others are toxic, you are literally playing Russian roulette with your health!

Use common sense. Drink the cleanest and purest water you can find!
Myth #4 – Reverse osmosis filtration produces very acidic water with low pH
Truth: Reverse osmosis has little affect on water pH values.
Reverse osmosis purification may or may not reduce pH levels as it removes unhealthy inorganic minerals from tap water. Water pH is very complicated and pH levels vary constantly depending on a host of factors which can only be measured by water chemists and PhDs. The truth is, water pH levels will automatically change when it is ingested and comes into contact with the food in your stomach. Even on an empty stomach, your stomach acid alone is already several times more acidic than RO water (pH 6-8) with a pH level of 2.

The human body regulates pH levels constantly to find balance and equilibrium. Therefore under normal conditions it will always maintain a neutral 7.4 pH balance. Even eating very acidic foods (very low pH) only alters the body’s pH by a very tiny amount and only for a short time. The healthy body is very robust and it will restore homeostatic pH fairly quickly and easily. Soft drinks and sports drinks typically have a pH level of 2.5, orange juice has a 3 pH and coffee has a 4 pH level and we drink these beverages all the time without problems.

As long as you eat a well balanced diet which includes vegetables and fruits, you can pretty much drink whatever you want without ever worrying about your pH balance.

Myth #5 – Reverse osmosis wastes a lot of water.
Truth: Reverse osmosis uses some water to deliver quality and longevity.
For every gallon of clean water produced by a RO system, an average of 4 gallons of brine water is used and discarded. This brine (waste) water is constantly used by the system to clean the membrane and allows the filter to work effectively and last for many years. Remember, RO systems clean your water and remove thousands of unhealthy contaminants from tap water that countertop and faucet filters cannot.

Reverse osmosis brine water is the equivalent of an extra 3 to 4 toilet flushes a day. You actually waste more water each day when you wash your dishes or clothes than from a RO system. You will probably pay a extra 25 to 50 cents a month from RO waste water.Waste water from RO systems is actually pretty clean and similar to tap water in purity levels. It can be channeled for use in gardens watering plants or stored and used for other household applications.

Water that flows down the sink is not wasted and can be recycled into clean water. Orange County, California already recycles their waste water, turning it back into their city tap water.

The truth is, there is no “new” water on this planet. All water is old water that has been recycled continuously for millions of years. We are actually drinking the same water that the dinosaurs drank, recycled obviously by Mother Nature.

Conclusion
Reverse osmosis water filters can remove thousands of organic, inorganic and chemical pollutants from tap water. The water is very clean and pure, protecting our health from chlorine, fluoride, arsenic and even pharmaceutical drugs. Reverse Osmosis systems are typically 4 to 5 stage systems that in addition to the RO membrane, also include a sediment filter and several carbon filter stages. This makes them much better at removing contaminants when compared to countertop, faucet and pitcher filters which use only 1 simple carbon filter. Reverse osmosis systems remove the heavy metals, radioactive materials, bacteria, viruses, fluoride, mercury, arsenic, nitrates, chemicals and drugs that standard countertop carbon filters cannot remove.
Reverse osmosis produces cleaner water which allows for the superior absorption of all nutrients by our bodies, including good organic minerals. No more ingesting of bad inorganic minerals (rocks) means the body will no longer be stressed and taxed with trying to absorb something that wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. Cleaner water will also improve the elimination of wastes at the cellular level and increase our body’s metabolic activity.

Excellent article

The article is very well written and is based on solid science. The author never said rain water was pure. He said it is mineral free! Bottom line: there’s no trace of evidence that RO water is bad for you. The criticisms of drinking RO are all conjecture and pseudo science. It does seem RO filters waste too much water.

Nice article

How did this “RO is bad” ever get started? This is the first time I’ve ever come across the notion that pure water was an issue.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A fighter jet that malfunctioned just after takeoff hurtled into a Virginia Beach apartment complex on Friday in a spectacular crash that sent flames and black smoke billowing from the rubble.

The two pilots managed to eject just before impact, suffering minor injuries along with five others on the ground. Several residents described hearing a loud explosion and looking out their windows to see the red and orange blaze. In the confusion that followed, two men helped one of the bloodied pilots from the two-seat F18 Hornet move to safety.

“Oh, my God, I heard three really loud explosions, then the black smoke went up high in the sky,” said 71-year-old Felissa Ezell, who lives in a townhouse near the crash site.

By evening, emergency crews were searching through the charred remains of the complex, where some 40 apartment units were damaged or destroyed. No fatalities had been reported.

Seven people, including the pilots from nearby Naval Air Station Oceana, were taken to a hospital. All except one of the pilots were released by late afternoon.

Virginia Beach Fire Department Capt. Tim Riley said three residents remained unaccounted for late Friday.

“We don’t know if we have working cell numbers, if they’ve traveled,” Riley said. “We don’t know if people are staying with other people.”

He said crews had done an exhaustive search of about 95 percent of the apartment complex and would continue searching throughout the night.

“We consider ourselves very fortunate,” he said.

The plane had dumped loads of fuel before crashing, though it wasn’t clear if that was because of a malfunction or an intentional maneuver by the pilots, said Capt. Mark Weisgerber with U.S. Fleet Forces Command. He said investigators will try to determine what happened. The jet went down less than 10 miles from Oceana.
