The Cypriot cabinet has declared Tuesday a bank holiday, for fear of capital flight, and this may even be stretched to Wednesday, as depositors are certain to withdraw huge sums from the Cypriot banks after the haircut imposed.

Nicosia postponed from Sunday to Monday the tabling in Parliament of the bill including the measures for the Cypriot bailout – including a bank account haircut and a tax hike on interest and corporate earnings – but the European Central Bank insists on a rapid voting because there are already signs a domino effect will follow across European lenders and markets from Monday.

There is genuine fear of market unrest on Monday morning when stocks may crumble in the eurozone and bank accounts in other southern European bank may suffer.

Skai radio reported on Sunday that the Bank of Greece has sent between 4 and 5 billion euros to Cyprus in order to help Cypriot banks respond to cash requirements by their clients.

So, if the official name of the March 18 holiday was “Green Monday“, will the March 19th ad hoc holiday be called “Red Tuesday“? Inquiring minds want to know.

Four Truths About the U.S. Economy

Truth #1: At the beginning of 2008, there were 28.22 million people in the U.S. economy on food stamps. Fast-forward to 2012, and the number has increased to 46.60 million—an increase of more than 65%. (Source: United States Department of Agriculture, March 8, 2013.) The number of Americans now on food stamps represents almost 15% of the entire population in the U.S. economy right now.

Truth #2: The poverty rate in the U.S. economy also increased in the aftermath of the worst economic condition since the Great Depression. In 2007, the official U.S. poverty rate was 12.5%. By 2011, this rate increased to 15%. We have experienced a 20% flight in the number of Americans living in poverty. As it stands today, about one in every seven Americans is technically poor.

The only thing that has improved since the financial crisis is the stock market, courtesy of cheap interest rates and extensive paper money printing. Don’t get lured into believing that a rising stock market means economic growth. The stock market and the U.S. economy are moving in opposite directions. Many public companies listed on the key stock indices are already warning investors about troubles ahead, profitability issues.

Sure, the old adage is, “Don’t fight the Fed.” But the stock market utopia can only go on for so long before “regression to the mean” becomes a reality again.

Looking at the long-term chart of gold bullion and the U.S. dollar, there is an interesting technical chart pattern developing that may help us predict the next move in the greenback and the yellow metal.

In the chart below, the red line represents the U.S. dollar index and the golden line represents gold bullion prices.

Both the U.S. dollar and gold bullion are going through the formation of the technical chart pattern called the “symmetrical triangle.” This pattern occurs during a trend and is often the result of a consolidation in prices. The majority of instances when the symmetrical triangle pattern emerges eventually result in a continuation of the prior trend.

If you observe closely, the trading ranges in the dollar and gold bullion have been getting smaller since the beginning of 2011. While keeping with their respective trends, they appear to be consolidating. The U.S. dollar has declined, compared to other major currencies. Meanwhile, gold bullion prices have been trending higher—from below $300.00 an ounce to close to $1,600 an ounce.

As I have been harping on about in these pages, the demand for gold bullion is robust, to say the very least. Central banks are rushing toward gold, seeking safety—they have turned into net buyers of the yellow shiny metal. In the last quarter of 2012, they bought the most gold in almost 50 years.

In contrast, by buying gold bullion, central banks may be losing trust in the U.S. dollar. According to a report by the World Gold Council (WGC), in 2000, central banks held 62% of their assets (or reserves) in U.S. dollars. By 2012, that percentage of U.S. dollar holdings decreased to 54% of the reserves. (Source: Market Watch, March 13, 2013.)

It isn’t a hidden fact anymore: the Federal Reserve has been increasing the money supply, as its balance sheet has grown to more than $3.0 trillion and its paper money printing program continues at a rate of $85.0 billion a month. The more paper money the Fed prints, the more vulnerable the greenback becomes.

Time will be the better judge of where the greenback and gold bullion end up, but from the looks of the chart above, the U.S. dollar appears bearish and gold bullion’s future seems bright.

I know he doesn’t believe in the Illuminati .. and that in and of itself should definitely tell you something. No Illuminati plant/agent would ever say they believe that the Illuminati exists. If you take a look at the Zeitgeist Movement you will run across certain keywords used throughout it, such as: Sustainability, Global Entity, Resource Based Economy, Local Chapters, Renewable Energy, etc..

They also speak of the removal of the nation-state and replacing it with a global entity, doing away with cultural traditions, replacing faith with science, replacing individual thinking with group thinking, and eliminating concepts such as self and family by replacing them with the group as a whole. Oh don’t worry, the federal reserve here and the central banks of most other countries will go away in a sense as an entirely new system of money is to replace what we use now. The US Dollar will soon be collapsing, and when it does, it will bring down all other monies in the world.

What is planned is electronic money, which is very much the same as that when using a credit or debit card. Only this system will not use cards, it will use a microchip implanted in you. So say you go to a store and buy something, the item/s will be scanned as they are now and a total amount reached, then you will be scanned and the money for your purchase will be deducted from your account and sent to the store, all electronically !!!

It is made possible by two things, microchip technology and the barcode. Of course you are aware of the barcode as it is on every product in the world. What you may not be aware of is that it was created by IBM, a Rothschild owned company, and thus they actually own the barcode itself. Their name is on every barcode in existence as mark of ownership, not written but numerically.

Anyway, this implantable microchip will have it’s own barcode on it, and although you will be known to other people by your name just as now, to whatever form of government, this new monetary system, etc., you will be identified as the number that is on that barcode on your microchip. In essence you will become a walking barcode, and the number on that barcode is you. Since the Rothschild’s own the barcode, and you will be identified as a barcode, you will become property of the Rothschild’s.

Now how does all of this info play into a resource based economy ?? Well in a two fold way really. In order for resources to be of value, they must be developed. Developed includes extraction from the earth to finished product, and /or developed by other means. A good share of the developing process will be done by robots, however human labor will also be required. Since humans are required, they are also considered to be a resource.

Your Old-New Testament insight about the eldest sons and analogously Israel missing the blessing I find particularly insightful and cannot restrain myself from asking, Is it not at the very least postulable that this principle can apply today to the Roman “See of Peter”? (Some would argue that the Fourth Ecumenical Council at Chalcedon thinks the answer is positively yes.)

On the flip-side, my relish of what you say understandably served to augment my distaste for crucial truths you omit and thereby falsehoods you imply. I think your use of the “yeast in the dough” imagery is the reverse of Jesus’ and hence is theologically the most questionable thing in the book thus far, and I stop just short of calling it impious and a total sell-out of the Faith. Jesus was patently not describing the Jewish Race or Religion as the “yeast in the dough” (or salt of the earth or light of the world) but rather his followers as the yeast in the dough that is each nation, Jewish or “Goyish.” The Church is the New Israel. That is the focal point of all Christians. The Jews are become a footnote, albeit a fascinating footnote, and a mysterious tool in prophetic literature in which nothing is clear much less nationalistically applicable. But let’s stop beating around the bush: the Judaizer heresy is just that, a filthy, base and demonic heresy. If emphasizing the Jewish Law is a slap in the face to Christ, how much more emphasizing the Jewish bloodlines!

I take exception, however, to any condemnation of the preservation of Jewish culture within Christian communities. I want to retain my (majority) Irish heritage and saints in how I worship because it makes me the more fully part of the whole Church. I’m told that some “Russian” Orthodox Christians, being of Jewish descent, were let back into Israel and, subsequently, there are Jerusalem parishes that celebrate the Divine Liturgy in Hebrew. I rejoice for them. And yes, they have a special perspective on Jesus being of His same household, and I rejoice with them. I love every chance I get chewing the fat with Jews, however secular, Orthodox or even Hasidic. I love hanging out with Catholics and Protestants. I even sometimes can stand Hindus and even (maybe) Buddhists. Wiccans? Druids? Why not. Mormons? JWs? Seventh Day Adventists? Sure, though obviously we’re bordering on the contrived and probably artificially preserved. Scientology obviously is downright dark, but their members are equally people. And I believe I am a missionary to everyone and everyone is a missionary to me.

Though I am the staunchest localist you’re ever likely to meet, I can never. Ever. Ever condone nationalism, because it is mass-insanity. I’ve heard a lot of people go on and on about a lot of things. A rabbi has apologized for going too far in a column expressing fear that continued success by Tim Tebow might lead to a spree of religion-fueled hate crimes.

Rabbi Joshua Hammerman issued the apology to theDenver Broncos quarterback after his column briefly appeared on the website of The Jewish Week on Wednesday. Editors deleted the column shortly after it was posted, acknowledging the work was “more inciting than insightful.”

Hammerman’s column had noted that the beliefs of Tebow, an Evangelical Christian, have become part of the national conversation as the quarterback has led his team to seven wins in eight games heading into an anticipated NFL matchup Sunday with the New England Patriots.

“When you combine the religion that is football with the religion that is religion, the mix can be dangerously flammable,” Hammerman wrote. “The NFL ratings rise has been fueled in part by Tebow’s legions of faithful followers, as well as by those simply curious to see how this implausible morality tale plays out.”

Hammerman’s vision for what might happen should the Broncos roll to a victory in Super Bowl XLVI, included speculation Tebow’s “emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants. While America has become more inclusive since Jerry Falwell’s first political forays, a Tebow triumph could set those efforts back considerably.”

That proved too much for editors at The Jewish Week, an independent publication in the New York City area.

“The column, in fact, violated our own standards calling for civility in posting comments on our website,” their apology said, noting that its policy is clear that “name-calling in any form will not be tolerated, and comments that denigrate any religion or Jewish religious stream will always be rejected.”

Said Hammerman: ” I realize the way in which I attempted to make my points was clumsy and inappropriate, calling to mind the kind of intolerance and extremism my article was intended to disparage. I sincerely apologize to Mr. Tebow, his family, the Broncos and Patriots and all those whom I may have offended.”

I feel its also a conspiracy to make Tim Tebow the scapegoat for everything that has gone wrong in the Jets’ this season. Maybe somewhere between the two lies the truth about whether Tebow opted out of the Wildcat offense for the game against the Chargers.

Tebow was emphatic  he never asked out of the Wildcat offense during his “man-to-man conversation” with Jets coach Rex Ryan on Dec. 18. Yes, he expressed his frustration at being passed over in favor of Greg McElroy to replace Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback for Sunday’s 27-17 loss to the Chargers. Yes, he complained about his utilization in the Wildcat, mainly the preponderance of running plays up the middle. Yes, he asked for the opportunity to play a conventional quarterback role.

But at no time, Tebow says, did he tell Ryan he no longer wanted to be part of the Wildcat package, reported and taken as truth through Twitter and various media outlets.

“I never said ‘Hey, I don’t want to do anything or I won’t do anything,’ ” Tebow said. “That wasn’t the talk at all.”

I’ve watched every Denver Broncos game this year, and I can say with 100% certainty that head coach John Fox is deliberately trying to lose the football games. 85% of his offensive plays are dive runs up the middle, and 75% of his offensive formations have 1 wide receiver. This is a blatant attempt to discredit Tim Tebow and set him up for failure. Most recently in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Coach Fox wasted a slew of critical time outs in the 2nd half when not necessary. When the Broncos were on a Tebow winning streak you could tell Coach Fox was not happy, and even attempted to “cover his ass” in the eyes of his master with statements such as “Hey, I don’t know what’s going on.”

Despite what’s probably the worst play calling in NFL history, Tim Tebow and the Broncos have managed to miraculously win their division, in large part due to 5 or 6 amazing 4th quarter comeback wins, and so therefore they are advancing to the Playoffs. The Denver Broncos will host the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday, January 8th in the first round of the playoffs.

“Obviously this is your constitutional right, OK? As far as you’re concerned, you’re not breaking any laws. That’s what we want to get across to you guys,” Lenic told the activists, dismissing efforts by Myers to have the two kicked out of the airport.

When Myers attempted to have the activists identify themselves, winking at Sheriff Lenic as he demanded Lenic take their IDs, Lenic fired back, stating, “If I was to ask for his identification he does not have to give it to me because he’s not doing anything wrong.”

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office has since been bombarded with hundreds of positive emails and calls from liberty lovers championing Sheriff Lenic for his fine work in defending the First Amendment against petty enforcers like Doug Myers.

Comments on YouTube were also overwhelmingly supportive of Sheriff Lenic.

“Finally a cop that does his job properly. Makes a change from all of the bad cop films we’ve seen lately. Hats off to the man,” wrote one.

“This Sheriff is an absolute paragon for justice,” added another.

Lenic already has his own Facebook page where people are reposting the video and urging Lenic to run for Mayor.

“That’s a little overwhelming. I mean, I was doing my job I felt I was doing the right thing protecting people’s First Amendment rights,” Lenic told NewsChannel 13.

Lenic later emailed Jason Bermas the following message;

“I am overwhelmed by the support your viewers have given me. I hope other fellow officers will see this and not view the freedom of speech as a threat, but an opportunity to show the professionalism that law enforcement should be held to. I remember the day I was sworn in, and I remember that I am supposed to protect the constitution of the United States. I am proud to be a Deputy Sheriff, and try to do my job to the best of my ability so help me God.”

Now, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who has championed gun control in her state for decades and co-wrote the original assault weapons ban enacted by the federal government in the 1990′s, wishes to bring even more stringent federal mandates to the land of the free. What is being proposed by Feinstein is the most significant attack on the second amendment in history.

It would essentially ban thousands of firearms and require gun owners to turn them over to the Federal government.

I don’t have the minutes of the meeting (yet), but sources tell me California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein’s legal staff held meetings on Friday with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new “Assault Weapons Ban” Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection.

This same “pretty good intelligence” says the items that would lead to a banwould ban pistol grips and “high-capacity” magazines, eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of “weapons in possession”.

I don’t know about you, but if these things come to pass and I’m “in possession” I’m certainly not selling.

In fact, the lack of interest in the idea surprised the California liberal’s legal staffers. Apparently, they believe no logical person could possible disagree with them.

6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State. 
Americans call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver’s licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
Americans call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture… Thus read “controlled or subsidized” rather than “owned”… This is easily seen in these as well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

After reviewing just the basic programs that you need to operate a smart phone…when you go to applications, for example and look at google mail..it states they have right to go into your mail, look at your documents and alter (even if it is confidential) , change your contacts or even delete contacts, have access to your text message and pictures, they can even use your text and phone to call and send messages. So with that said…they have access to your mail by default because you have to use that program on your phone to be activated for most functions on your phone to work properly.
If you go through all the programs you have on your phone before adding more apps, they all say pretty much the same thing. But look at the big picture…where are these phone made (China, Japan, Korea)! Government employees are using these phones just as much as anyone else..what can be worse then countries that are making these phones have access to sensitive material including personal information that can be of use in sensitive ways including…where they are, their pictures, their contacts and their email documents.
Now your family members are adding app after app with location settings needing to be active on the devices for them to be of service. With that said there is apps and even programs that someone can see all cell phones in that area so a possible predator can single out possible victims. What about some family members who take pictures of their drivers license, SSN and other highly personal information for identity theft to be easy..not alone..logging into bank accounts..in which you are allowing the manufacture to have access to with your passwords and all. Also think about this, these apps also are being allowed to turn on your video camand recorder on your cell at any given time to listen and look at your surroundings. They do not have to inform you when they do, what they alter or delete or whom they give your information to. Also keep in mind that a lot of the apps are created by criminals that are making it legal to commit crimes against you by just getting their free app.So the matter of this news story, if we buy these cell phones from a company ..just say Sprint, shouldn’t they be liability for use licensing with the apps for the purpose of the basic operation of the phone and not carried over to us making ourselves liable for any misuse of our privacy in which will will not know? Should the consumer buying the cell phone have licensing right to know when an invasion by the app provider went into the phone and made changes?

For another quick check of what your allowing your cell phone maker to do to you…go to settings, then look at what system your phone uses..Android system for example, click that and read of the privacy you no longer have!

More than 300 people — or nearly a quarter of the roughly 1,200 individuals USA TODAY has identified as Romney fundraisers — come from the world of finance, more than any other sector. Obama and Romney: War No Matter Who Wins Election

Once again emphasizing there is no fundamental difference between Obama and Romney when it comes to attacking Iran, the American Jewish Committee has published the answers to a questionnaire sent to the candidates.

From the Jewish Telegraphic Agency website:

“I am prepared to use all elements of American power” to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, Obama said in the questionnaires released Oct. 18 by the AJC, “including a political effort to further isolate Iran, a diplomatic effort to sustain our coalition, an economic effort that has imposed crippling sanctions, and a military effort to be prepared for any contingency.”

Romney’s response was nearly identical:

“I will press for ever tightening sanctions on the regime, acting multilaterally where we can and unilaterally where we must, and leave no doubt in the mind of the regime’s leaders that the military option remains on the table.”

Romney tried to make political points by sucking up to Israel and the Israeli lobby in the United States: “Unlike President Obama, I understand that distancing the U.S. from Israel doesn’t earn us credibility in the Arab world or bring peace closer,” he said. “Instead, it encourages Palestinians to hold out and wait for Washington to deliver more Israeli concessions.”

Romney said he plans to create “regional directors” who “will possess unified budgetary and policy authority.”

The JTA’s response to this development: “With such powers concentrated in an individual, pro-Israel groups would likely closely watch and want to influence whomever a Romney administration would name to the Middle East post.”

In fact, pro-Israel neocons already dictate Romney’s Middle East foreign policy. Fifteen of the 22 members of Romney’s foreign policy team were policy advisers under Bush, and six of them are former members of PNAC, Joseph Sarkisian points out.

Neocons from the American Enterprise Institute, the Brookings Institute, and the Hudson Institute dominate Romney’s advisors. “The American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) thinks highly of these policy advisers, who are all ardent supporters of the Israeli desire to end Iran’s nuclear program with force if necessary,” writes Sarkisian.

“Just like in Iraq, there is no verifiable proof of WMD in Iran, yet once again the same group of people want to use the same methods to start a similar war for the interests of the few, with no regard for the consequences,” he concludes.

Poll results are, of course, highly misleading, but if we are to believe the latest results Romney and Obama are locked in a dead heat sixteen days out from the election.

Establishment fount Forbes predicts that if Obama gets re-elected, Israel will attack Iran in January, a move that will undoubtedly be supported by the United States.

Despite Romney’s coterie of neocons, Democrat Chuck Schumer believes Obama is more likely to attack Iran than his opponent. “I’ll tell you this on Iran, and I’ve said this to a couple of Romney supporters who agree, that if the sanctions fail, and military action is warranted, a re-elected President Obama is far more likely to launch that kind of military action, probably in concert with Israel, than would Mitt Romney,” Schumer told CNN in September.

Following Obama’s lackadaisical performance during the first debate, his administration “leaked” a plan for striking Iran’s nuclear facilities. CFR member and visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, David Rothkopf, wrote in Foreign Policy earlier this month that the White House and Israeli officials “assert that the two sides behind the scenes have come closer together in their views [regarding Iran] in recent days.”

Rothkopf quoted a “source close to the discussions” as saying that a surgical strike aimed at Iran’s enrichment facilities “might take only ‘a couple of hours’” at best and would be conducted by air using bombers and drones.

Despite the outcome of the election, a strike on Iran – limited, surgical or otherwise – will occur within the next few months, if not weeks.
