A New York police detective shot and killed an unarmed man, whose hands, a witness said, were on the steering wheel of his Honda, after he had been pulled over early Thursday for cutting off two police trucks on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens, the authorities said.

The shooting, which occurred at 5:15 a.m., was the latest in a series of episodes in which police officers fatally shot or wounded civilians. While the Police Department had explanations in the other instances, it could not immediately provide one for the shooting on Thursday.

When you vote, you legitimatize the system which enslaves us. Keep in mind the most fundamentally misunderstood fact of our existence. All government is by consent of the governed. That’s irrefutable.

Einstein’s definition of insanity was repeating a task and expecting a different result each time. If elections really could make a difference, wouldn’t they have by now? By definition, when you participate in this process, that is insanity.

Moreover, choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil.

So many people simply cannot break their lifetime of conditioning to see these fundamentals. They will argue to their death to protect the very system used to control them.

The Illinois political director of President Barack Obama’s campaign allegedly threatened a Chicago NAACP official because he did not support Obama’s reelection campaign.

David Lowery, the president of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP, alleged to CBS Chicago that Louis Raymond, the Obama official, threatened him during a phone call because Lowery did not support Obama. Lowery felt Obama did not adequately address the concerns and issues of the black community. 

‘You know what? I know everything about you,’ Raymond allegedly said, according Lowery. ‘We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you.’
