In my latest reading of War on the Middle Class: How the Government, Big Business, and Special Interest Groups Are Waging War on the American Dream and How to Fight Back, Lou Dobbs talks about illegal immigration.  Dobbs argues that illegal immigrants drive down wages, and that big business largely supports their presence in the United States because they are cheap labor.

A New Jersey cop who did not appreciate being video recorded by a 15-year-old boy threatened to steal the teen’s camera forever.

“Turn that video camera off right now or it’s going to be mine forever,” the Hanover Township police officer said, obviously knowing he was being recorded, but dumb enough not to care.

The cop is not named in the ABC Local story but I’ve contacted the teen through Facebook in the hopes of obtaining it.

After all, a cop that stupid needs to be exposed.

As it is now, the cop is being sued for the incident that took place several months ago.

It started when Austin DeCaro and friends were hanging out with friends in a public park after dark, which was against a municipal ordinance.

The Syrian government may have moved some of its chemical weapons to safeguard them against rebel forces, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said at a Friday press conference.

While some weapons were moved to locations unknown to US intelligence, Panetta said the main storage sites remain secure and under government control.

“There has been intelligence that there have been some moves that have taken place. Where exactly that’s taken place, we don’t know,”  the defense secretary told reporters at the Pentagon. “I don’t have any specific information about the opposition and whether or not they’ve obtained some of this or how much they’ve obtained and just exactly what’s taken place.”

Panetta’s press conference was the first time the Pentagon confirmed movements of at least some of the chemical weapons to locations even the Central Intelligence Agency could not determine. As a result of the move, US officials are…

Ben Cohen is stamping the hell out of every dollar he can find.

It’s a characteristically eccentric project for the Ben and Jerry’s co-founder that he hopes will generate lots of free publicity for his ultimate goal: amending the Constitution to reverse the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, which removed limits on independent spending by corporations and individuals for political purposes.

“If politics wasn’t being so corrupted and influenced by the money from corporations, we wouldn’t be doing the bidding of corporations, which is opposed to the general benefits of the society and the world,” Cohen said.

So on a new website, StampStampede.org, Cohen and a group of other activists loosely affiliated with the Occupy movement are selling stamps, at cost, that can be used to put a “Stamp Money Out Of Politics” message on money.
